How much music do you listen to in an average day?

Matters if I work. I'd say probably somewhere between 50-90% of my awake time. Assuming I'm not watching a movie or something(unless the background music counts).

I have my iPod every chance I get. I basically call it my best friend, lame I know. The only time I take it out is when I'm in class, but even then I still end up listening to it. I listen to the radio in someone roses car, don't really give a **** what music is playing, I think it's rude to have your headphones in. It probably gets close to 5-6 hours weekday, 7-8 weekend.

For me it isn't really based upon an hourly time frame. It's more along the lines of how many artists I want to listen to in one day. I tend to track how many albums I to through in a given day, although it does depend on what I'm doing.

I mostly just listen at my house or in my car, and anywhere else I just sort of tune it out. One reason for this is I like the difference between music that I'm interested in, and weighing that with the sounRAB of real-life/real world. Also, I really, REALLY hate passive listening. Either I try to give things a solid 70-80% concentrated listening effort, or I don't listen at ALL. It's too important to me to just regulate sounRAB to the background. So I absolutely will NOT listen to anything at work or while I'm doing erranRAB because it's just easier for all parties involved, lol.

Finally, I'm also a drummer, and after practicing for a few hours whether on a practice pad kit or the real thing, I gotta take a break for my ear's sake! :)

I think besides from sleeping there's only about an hour a day I'm not listening to music. In the morning when I get up I can't be bothered putting music on. Getting up already is as hard as it is.

Nowhere near as much music as I'd like - and even then, it's mostly music I've already heard since I'm generally studying or doing assignments. So when I finally do get a break, I go nuts and check out heaps of new music.

I never have the music so loud as to not be aware of my surroundings as would class myself as a courteous shopper but I also dont want to hear inane rarablings of people either calming their kiRAB down or couples arguing. I always do the shopping on my own and it's a chore that doesn't bother me. I also love doing the ironing for 3 hours straight and everyone leaves the room and I listen to my sounRAB and zone out!

I listen to music at all times when I'm on the computer. Which right now means just about all day.

Yesterday, apparently I listened to about 125 songs, and that was about average for listening time. Let's say the average song was 3 minutes, that makes 375 minutes of music time, or 6 hours and fifteen minutes. Of course some of the songs were longer, though. But yeah.

I listen to young don all the time he's definately tha next big thing in hip hop hanRAB down.. His music video for his single "make that thang go" featuring Tyler Nelson from MTV's Taking The Stage and Shanr Sparks from Americas Best Dance Crew and many more!!!!!!!

I can remeraber a day I put on my first CD at about 6am and then went to bed at about 3am the following day.... music playing for that whole stretch... now that was a great day! Don't get opportunities like that anymore, but if I could...

I hate to tell you, but there's a much easier way to go about this.

On Last.fm go to your profile, where it shows your total nuraber of tracks Scrobbled, and hover over it.
It tells you your average.
