How much music do you listen to in an average day?

Every day I struggle to fit in all the albums I intend to listen to. I don't think bored is the right word, maybe tired and needing to give your ears a break, I can understand.

Drives me mad when people try to have a conversation with you while they have their headphones blasting. Also a few days ago my mother (to great inconvenience to herself) gave my friend a lift back to his house (cause he missed his bus) and he proceeded to lie out on the back seats while listening to his music, ignoring everything my mother was saying to him.

I really need to seriously consider this. I do listen to arabient or instrumental stuff on occasion, but I find that often the music distracts me from doing work. Not only because it's busy/loud/has vocals or whatever, but because I'm always wanting to talk about music online and research and stuff. If I make my work listening more of a passive thing I might get more work done. :p: There's just always so much I want to listen to, it would be tough to play mostly instrumental stuff at work, then when would I listen to all the other music? I fail at prioritizing between work and music.

You must have a loud practice pad kit! Wear ear protection dude! I'm a drummer myself and the best investments I did were ear protection and a proper drum throne.

probably about 12 hours, the radio is on at work, cRAB/mp3s in the truck, mp3s on the comp ipod if im reading... i dont watch tv much

I only listen to at most 2 hours a day....maybe on weekenRAB a little more. I love long journeys where I have nothing to do but close my eyes and slip on my headphones for hours on end.

"argh!! Say it ain't so!"

Well, sheeet, guess I'll step up to the plate then. My term just ended and I have a longer break than I originally thought before I start fall term. My funRAB be low, but I can up the tunes-per-day amount! You'll be remerabered!! lol

:wavey: don't work too hard dude!

This is exactly why I listen to this type of music at work. Not only is it less distracting, but it really does have a calming effect which is a great thing on a stressful day. Also, I can play it a little louder than my other music without bothering my co-workers.

I also know what you mean about prioritizing between work and music...I swear if I get fired from my job for anything it will be for being on this damn website all the time. lol.

I was going to say, why no tunes in the loo? Funny story: I stayed with this guy in berlin who had a radio in his bathroom. When they wired it up, they somehow fudged it so that when you turned the light on, the radio came on! Obviously this turned out to be a very cool magic mistake.
Anyway, I was having a shower one morning, and I slipped and fell. It was a shower bath shower with a curtain and a rail that came out from the wall. it was a pretty big fall, and landed on the floor outside the tub with the shower curtain and railing around me on the floor. Sadly, i pulled out the radio cord as it was wrapped around the metal rod (possibly not the smartest idea.) Anyway, that was the end of the radio/light switch phenomenon. Needless to say I felt pretty bad.

Probably close to 24 hours..I have to listen to the ****ty kind all day at work..but im always listening to music at home..I even go to sleep to it..
