How much music do you listen to in an average day?

^it's definately worth checking out, i've found SO many groups with it. plus it's pretty cool to see the charts on most played artists and albums and such.

I'm trying to cram in ever increasing amounts of music per day.... so far, pretty successful! You can never get too much of a good thing!

Lately i've been averaging two to three albums after work depending on how tired / attentive I am... been buying / downloading alot of music in recent months so there is much good stuff to discover!

Y'know, in response to your buying/downloading part of your post, I know that I usually work my way through my actual buys first before I give my downloaRAB a listen. It's kinda nice that way, as then I have some nice surprises that I (momentarily) forgot about. I think I do it this way in case there is anything wrong with my actual purchased stuff,(especially if it's used or what-not).

Ehh it all depenRAB! I can listen to music all day.. literally. It all depenRAB on my mood! I have quite a few genres: trance, black metal, electro house, rock, industrial, and other weird stuff. So it keeps me occupied. I'll be listening to some beautiful progressive trance song from Mango and then like.. Krypt or Gram will come on and it'll catch me off guard completely. It's fantastic

It's definitely useful for finding new stuff, and for looking up and sampling recommendations. Sometimes the tracks they recommend based on your listening habits come out strange though. But overall pretty cool.

Same thing here. I have these lulls in the evenings where I have nothing to do for 20 minutes at a time. I'd go stir crazy.

Me too but honestly I think I would be far more productive if I couldn't, lol. Not only can it be a distraction while listening and working, but it makes me research other music while I'm listening. Something I'm listening to may remind me of something else, so I'll look it up. It may be my first listen to a particular artist, and if I'm loving it I may research a bit of their history, or what album to get next, or want to talk about it on various message boarRAB (this last thing is most often the case). So as you can see, listening causes many other distractions. Sometimes I really want to take a break and not listen to music at work for a week or two, see how things go. I'm sure it would help. But should I really deny myself the joy of music? I mean, it's my passion. Problem is, I care more about it than I do work. And in the long run, that's not good at all. If only I could find a job that pays me to research and listen to music...
