My thing is, if you're looking for something to hum, that's what the beat is for. Fuck a hook. It's just another form of bandwagoning; just because a hook happens to be hot (which most times it still isn't), people will pretend to know the song and can't say a verse for shit. Fuck, either T-Mobile or Cingular, one of them has that 50 Cent "It's Your Birthday" hook as a goddamn ringtone. That's gay as shit if you ask me.
