Hip/Hop & Rap *Must Have Albums*

I can't believe it took 5 fucking pages for Del's Both Sides of the Brain and 3030 albums to get mention. OT has let me down.

Other than those 2
Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek - Train of Thought
Blackstar
Jurassic 5 - Quality Control and Power in Numbers
Canibus - Can-I-Bus
Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs

Your right, otherwise it woud have been a mix tape with various songs

Thats why the album is tight. The roots switch it around and bring back the hits.

Hence the reason why i liek it

I'm listening to Z-trip's "Live in L.A. 2003" album right now. It was a promo only release to tide over his fans until his major label album drops sometime this year. The man makes some odd ass choices to blend together, but they work so damn well... Outkast over Tool...!

Immortal Technique - Revolutionary Vol. 1 & 2
Atmosphere - Lucy Ford, Overcast, God Loves Ugly, and HeaRABhots Se7en
Big L - The Big Picture
Eyedea - Oliver Hart

Nas - Illmatic

Souls of Mischief - 93 Til Infinity

Heltah Skeltah - Nocturnal (personal fave)

Smiff N Wessun - Dah Shinin

Hieroglyphics - 3rd Eye Vision

Goretex - The Art of Dying
Icon the Mic King - The Intricate Spectrum LP
Leak Bros - Waterworld
El-P - Fantastic Damage
Non Phixion - The Future is Now
DJ Vlad, NJ Devil, and the Game - A Devil's Advocate

yeah, I only like about 4 songs on it

I always like hearing new verses from Pep Love, and Casual is nice on that one track (#14 I think)

otherwise I was unimpressed

No, I've heard Chicken and Beer and it fucking sucks. Repetitive, nothing new to add to the genre and for christs sake it's called chicken and beer

I listen to quality music and I'm sorry if you can't understand that

Who gives a shit if they sell out. You think everyone feels like keeping it real and not succeeding in life?

We all want money. Dont act like you wouldnt stay underground and not take the money that you deserve.
