Hip/Hop & Rap *Must Have Albums*

my small list:

mos def-black on both sides
gang starr-moment of truth
common-like water for chocolate
common-be
ATCQ-first 3
GZA-liquid sworRAB
wu tang clan-forever (always liked this more than 36)
outkast-aquemini
cormega-the realness

The definition of selling out is changing your style in order to sell recorRAB/make money. I'd never fall into the mainstream suit just to make money and basically say the same old bullshit that everyone else says. Rims, money, I'm a pimp, whatever. It gets so damn repetitive.

some of 50 cent's stuff is hot, don't knock on him because he is a marketing genius and knows what sells...other than that, dmx, jigga man, pac, nas, biggie, mobb deep, lloyd banks, nwa, obie trice, eminem, dre, snoop, t.i.,

Tribe Called Quest - "Midnight Marauders"
De La Soul - "De La Soul is Dead"
Beastie Boys - "License to Ill"
Fugees - "The Score"
Blackalicious - "Blazing Arrow"
Jurassic Five - "Quality Control"
DJ Z-Trip and DJ P - "Uneasy Listening"
Guru - "jazzamataz"

DPG - Dogg Food, 2002
Snoop - all
Dj Quik - all
E-40 - In a Major Way
Luniz - Lunatikmuzik
Kurupt - The Streetz is a Mutha, A Smoke Oddessey

well, don't really care what you think about the streets, and while I'm at it I'm gonna add
MF Doom- Madvillian....or really any of his albums

Forgot:

Ugly Duckling - journey to anywhere
Zion I - Deep water slang (or their first one)

And for the hardcore

Anything by U.G.K. (except "too hard to swallow"). These guys are the greatest southern rappers ever, imo.
