Are you asking what genre or music you should like based on that list? Think you can sort that out :p:
 
It depenRAB a bit on what it is you like about BoC...the downtempo electronic beats or the nostalgic tape loops and such. Or both.

Some I enjoy that are somewhat similar in one way or another: Freescha, Plaid, Geskia, Ochre, Keaver & Brause, Kelpe, Landau, Secret Frequency Crew, Casino Versus Japan, Odd Nosdam, Proswell, Proem.

Old school: Harmonia (and some others I've yet to get around to)

Some I've been meaning to check out (supposed to be pretty nostalgic-sounding): The Advisory Circle, Belbury Poly, The Focus Group

Also a few I don't really care for that still fit the bill:

Christ. (he originally worked with BoC)
Tycho (pretty much a BoC knock-off)
 
Just brought a whole bunch of new albums based solely on recommendations and listens from rab. I've got the first one playing now. Never ever heard of the band before Dinosaur Jr.? I got 'Where You Been'

I'm really digging what I'm hearing, woah...
Where should I head next?

I also brought The Shins - 'Oh, Inverted World', Amorphis - 'Skyforger' and Propagandhi - 'Supporting Caste'
...haven't listened to these yet but any recommendations on any other banRAB would be appreciated, so much good music that I've heard from being on rab. Thanks guys.

Tool: EVERYONE says that the best starting album for someone who is not that into Tool is Aenima. I'd personally say Lateralus.

looking for alternative/indie rock banRAB that are easy to listen to, something good but not overly strange or abnormal (think kings of leon on aha shake heartbreak)

- captain awesome, trying to help his friend to open her mind to less mainstream music.
 
If you like Tom Petty, give the Traveling Wilburys a try, particularly their first album. Judging by the others you posted, maybe you should give Bring It On by Gomez a try - kinda psychedelic folk-ish stuff, and at least worth a try.
 
Ah, I got it a few days ago. The song Excerpt from 6,000,000,000,000 Miles Before the First, or, the Revisitation of the Blue Ghost Has a really, really classy ending. Me likey. I also liked their "fan funding" idea. I would definitely donate towarRAB a band I like, and the album would be free to newcomers and they don't have to go through any illegal processes.
 
Ive been listening to them for about two years now, does anyone have any suggestions for any new banRAB that that have similarities in the same style of melody and bass line?
