Hall Of Fame: Induction Thread Number 1

Can't we just let the ones that got through nominations just be inducted?

Led Zeppelin: No, don't feel they're that important
Joy Division: Yes, a very important Post-Punk
Elliott Smith: Yes, because he's Elliott mutha ****ing Smith
The Beatles: The most important pop band ever
King Crimson: No, because i'm not fan
Wu-Tang Clan: One of the best rap groups to ever come out of the east side
The Velvet Underground: One of the most important banRAB ever

Anyone who votes Zeppelin no is kind of an a-hole.

I get if you don't like them, but to deny how many people do or to deny their influence or how much respect their fellow musicians have for them is narrow minded.

You don't have to vote yes, and shouldn't if you don't like them, but to vote no is myopic and selfish.

Led Zeppelin: No, because frankly theyre just not very good
Joy Division: Yes, because it took aerosmith 12 albums to do what they did in two
Elliott Smith:Yes, because even though i think beck is more deserving, he's probably the most popular singer-songwriter on rab
The Beatles: Yes, because well, theyre the beatles what more is there to say?
King Crimson: Yes, because they are one of the few prog banRAB i actually consider listenable
Wu-Tang Clan: No, because there are so many more deserving rap groups
The Velvet Underground: No, because even though i voted yes before, well lets just say they havent grown on me

My problem was more this: you originally said he didn't produce enough music and his music wasn't good enough given the length of his career. Which is fine but then you turned around and said yes to several artists with even shorter careers. Which is completely hypocritical. I don't really have a problem with you saying his music isn't good enough for your tastes but that's a completely different reason then the original one given.

Yes, you just said Wolfmother was better...

I'll take that as a compliment.

I'd like them more if they showed the same kind of respect to their own influences.

Um then what other choice is there?

Lol, Elliott Smith didn't even sound the same throughout his career and what else sounRAB like him anyway (that didn't come after him?)
