"Gurren Lagann" On Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday Block - Talkback *MAJOR SPOILERS*

No matter how EPIC something is, math can calculate it.

However, that does not mean that math can't be just as EPIC

First of all (and Word of God confirms this) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the largest mecha in all anime creation and may just be the largest thing ever created in fiction. Courtesy of tvtropes.org, we have these stats

It goes from the compact car-sized Lagann, to the tens-of-meters Gurren Lagann, to the aircraft-carrier-sized Dai-Gurren, to the multi-kilometric Arc-Gurren Lagann, to the hundreRAB-of-thousanRAB-of-kilometers Chouginga Gurren Lagann, to what Word of God has stated 40-billion-light-year tall Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann). If this troper's math is correct, that comes to 234,627,840,000,000,000,000,000 miles tall. In comparison the earth is a mere 24,902 Not to mention, any and all visible movement, even the slightest twitch, would require breaking the lightspeed barrier..

FREAKING EPIC. That the only way to describe these three episodes.
I always wonder why this series was called Tegen Toppa Gurren Lagann now I know why. TTGL is freaking huge. The battle with him and his doppelganger was EPIC. I was dissapointed that Nia die. I expected her and Simon to have lived happily ever after. I was surprised by Viral' dream of a family. Very unexpected. Anyway a great series finale for a epic series.

Now bring on the Gundams Sci-Fi.

I was actually a bit thrown off when characters started dying off. I mean, I know they were just minor characters, but the fact that they all managed to survive this far into the series made me think they were pretty much untouchable. To top it off, we get a giant, naked Nia, floating Moai-like heaRAB (someone has been playing too much Gradius...), and an ocean in space.

Well, that's Gainax for you.
