"Gurren Lagann" On Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday Block - Talkback *MAJOR SPOILERS*

Tragic pair of episodes. Humanity is crurabling and society is an absolute mess.
Yeah, I think Rossiu just pisses everybody off these last couple of episodes, myself especially. But because this isn't my first time seeing the series I don't hate him to a point where I want to shoot him through the face....ok, maybe a few times Ive wanted to do that...ok, maybe I want to do that frequently...but at least he's suffering in his own personal way.

VIRAAAAAAAAAAAL. Viraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal.
"Well look who we have here"
*cue squealing*
I love how they were fighting in loin cloths.

That scene was pretty much great as it makes me give points to Simon for his new badass-ery. No wonder he'll prove to be a great leader in the future.

Forget Squidward, I want my giant robots. Heck give us a Spongebob gunman/beastman.

Works for me. The sooner Gundam 00 gets here, the better. And I'm sure GL will have a finale that people won't want to wait a whole other week for.

Don't know about him...but I actually happen to like both, for different reasons.

If you ask me, it all depenRAB.

I think the TV series is the definitive version of Gurren Lagann. I can't speak about the second movie yet, but the first one is good, just not enough for me to go out of my way to find a DVD release. It's the sort of thing I would prefer to watch on the big screen, if possible, or during a special TV showing.

I'm certainly not against compilation movies, but I also don't need to own everything from any given franchise if there's a superior alternative available. In this case, the original series remains better than the first movie so that's what I'd buy.

However, if both movies were released in one package for an attractive price and with nice extras, maybe I could buy that too.
