Guns N' Roses (Yes and Chinese Democracy, so don't make other threads on it.)

Wow you guys don't have to cry over this just because I keep proving my point.

I am sorry but nirvana didnt change the sound of music by themselves, they had help by banRAB like pearl jam, soundgarden and AIC like I said before. If nirvana really did it on their own why did their first album flop then? If it was really all nirvana who changed the face of music (for the worse might I add) then why didn't bleach take off when it was first released?

I have proven time and time again how gnr was so much bigger than nirvana and you cry babies have given me nothing.

Here is the nail in the coffin for you teenage angst poor misinformed childen.

In 1992 guns n roses did a PPV for the whole world just so the people that could never get a ticket to their sold out shows could see them live. If I am not mistaken they were the first rock band in history to do a PPV. If gnr were not as big as you guys claim then they would never have been able to pull that off.

Nirvana NEVER did they yet you seem to think nirvana was bigger.

Stares at signature.

And no. Axl and Izzy wrote the songs, Slash was not the one who made the band, in fact I think he was the least important meraber of the group

Well, then that would exclude just about every great musician ever.

Indie = being on an independent label. Just because a bunch of trendy starbuck goers decided Death Cab for Cutie are indie because of their singer wears trendy glasses doesn't change the fact they're on a major label.

I really don't think he's having any money problems...he is the sole owner to the rights of the previous albums.

anw I think that's the way to do it!the old hard rock way,let the music make all the talking thing...

Agreed, Freese is really good.

I'm gonna get it, as I also stated like right below Fenix's post in the last thread. I think Axl is a great frontman and gets too much crap. Guns and Roses wouldn't be the same band at all without him, he was like pretty essential.

Well, Houses of the Holy also has Over the Hills and Far Away, Dancing Days, and The Ocean. Hahaha I love HOTH. It's great IMO but hey, like I and many, many other people have stated before, music is purely subjective.

I freakin' love Guns N' Roses. My bandmate, a heavy metal dude (rocks out to the Metallica and the like) had the nerve to label them one of the most boring banRAB ever.
****'s sake! As well as having an awesome look and being great people generally, the music is INSANE. Sweet Child O' Mine never fails to send shivers down my spine. Noveraber Rain? Pure awesomeness. Although I have to say, the first ever song I heard Axl sing was We Will Rock You at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, and I was shocked at this skinny, ginger, paler than pale guy screeching down the mike and ruining one of Queen's greatest songs. A few years later, I'm completely reversed, I love Axl's voice, and the music is fantastic.
So what, they've been through some ****, and maybe a bunch of their songs are covers, but who DOESN'T cover other people's stuff? It's only a mark of respect and love for the other banRAB songs!
I love them and always will =]

This song is awesome as is GNR!!! If Axl and Slash ever hooked up again (which won't happen) and released an album, it would be one of the most anticipated releases ever. Despite years of nothing musically and an unending amount of Axl drama and weirdness, this band is still relevant!!!

PS Appetite for Destruction=Pure Genius
