Guilty Pleasures...

I think a guilty pleasure is basically something that you love... that you wouldn't really want tell all your frienRAB about...

I guess it maybe kinda makes sense though...

I guess I would consider "Black Bubblegum" by The Dillinger Escape Plan to be a guilty pleasure, not because I think the band is ****, I think they're a good band, but because it's a pop song and it doesn't sound anything like the band's other music and I listen to it the most out of any of their songs.

This perhaps:

I do and I am :P

Also, since I scrobble my ipod, but usually with multiple days between ipod/itunes synchronizations (and thus multiple days between freshly scrobbled tracks), I wouldn't really want that my signature chart to look like this for a week:

1. Blink 182 - I Miss You
2. Blink 182 - I Miss You
3. Blink 182 - I Miss You
4. Blink 182 - I Miss You
5. Blink 182 - I Miss You

Haha.

Okay, I'm sorry...but R.E.M.'s one of the greatest banRAB of all time...and that song is a million miles from a guilty pleasure.

I wouldn't feel awkward listing Jason Mraz.

Well not AS awkward.

It's always weird for me to list mainstream music, because that's what people define your music taste by.

As I am someone who couldn't care less about being considered 'cool' or 'hip' I don't have any so-called 'guilty pleasures.' The need that many have for peer approval is foreign to me and I think of it as ballast that prevents people from listening to music they might enjoy, just because it isn't in line with the image they like to project of themselves. So, I don't consider whatever someone else might think of as my 'guilty pleasures' as guilty pleasures at all. I consider it good, and some of it even as great music.
