Guilty Pleasures...

It's music to laugh at.

The fact that people are actually moved by that kinda music is extremely disturbing.

But that's why they call it a guilty pleasure. And you should definitely feel guilty for that one.

I don't understand how anyone could be erabarrassed to listen to something if its music they enjoy.......music itself has no inherent value so you can't claim a particular song is good or bad, its all subjective.

I guess if you value what other people think of your behavior and opinions above who you are as an individual then being ashamed to like something would make sense.

I'm not trying to insult anyone, I just felt compelled to give my honest opinion on the matter.

For one, Red Hot Chili Peppers. I pretty much grew up with this band and I still like them a lot, but a lot of people I know seem to hate them.

Also Jason Mraz. One of the few pop singers of the recent years that I like. (Though "The Remedy" has been ruined for me due to overplaying)

I was wondering where and when there would be a guilty pleasures thread. I think I listen to more guilty pleasure music than actual good music.

steely dan-peg
doobie brothers-what a fool believes
hall and oates-entire discography
goo goo dolls-"i don't want the world to see me"

i remeraber that.... they had a song called 'you+me' or 'you+me=....' something or another i cant remeraber. that was like 8 years ago btw...getting old sucks :(

Is that an acoustic song? I think I have to hear that song 2-3 times everyday at work, and its pisses me off.

I'm trying to think of a guilty pleasure I have... I guess I still occasionally listen to old Avenged Sevenfold, but I can honestly say that I find City of Evil to be complete ****. and I even think their old stuff is mediocre metalcore, but occasionally enjoyable.
