FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Episode 24 -was just amazing.
So the military knew this **** all along? I wonder how a homonculous got to cooperate with humans? Nontheless the next episode should be interesting.
Ed seems to be in hell.

You are obviously not evaluating the show on its own merits when you are comparing aspects to the old show. For instance the voice acting. You seriously can't judge a show by one episode but if that is what you would like to do go right ahead. It just shows me that much more that your opinion of the show isn't based on a good sample.

Its out already? I am gonna go watch that then I will edit this post.

Edit: I have now seen episode 37. I must say I like the revelations. I wasn't expecting the surprise about who Pride was. Hawkeye also shows once again that she is a badass chick and not afraid.

The new episodes do seem to be quite a bit darker but I actually enjoy them quite a bit. I cant wait for it to get to the point where it is new stuff.

I have to agree that this new take is already much more coherent and focused than the first attempt. And yes, the art and animation is just stellar so far.

Episode 61: ****ing Amazing. Only way i can describe it. It phenomenal. This series is twice as good as the original--and that's saying a lot considering how good the original was.

Episode 19- Good episode. Is havoc dead or what? He was stabbed right at this heart so Im guessing he is dead.

The fight with mustang and the homunculus was very good. Well animated too.

Next episode should be interesting confrontation with Ed and his father.

This can't be serious;
If it's a remake, I assure that they won't do it justice in 50 episodes.

If it's a continuation how will they continue from the ending of the first series?

Either way, if they keep the same animation style, voice actors, style, and make it a sequel I'll be happy.
If they screw it up and change anything except the ending of the previous series, I won't be pleased. FMA was excellently done and will be hard to follow up.

Ep 3 was good. They seem to be condensing of a lot of the story into as few eps as possible, possibly opening up for more material to be shown, which is not such a bad thing.

Next ep should be interesting. Hopefully they'll introduce Scar into this.

13 was way too fast... It would have been better to do the Greed arc in 3 episodes rather than trying to cram it all into 2. Skipping the part where the chimeras chase Al through the sewers is one thing (pretty much everyone predicted it was either going to be skipped or chopped up) but why did they have to rearrange the scenes? If you've never read the manga, Ed goes to South HQ for his State Alchemy license renewal. Then Al gets kidnapped, then Izumi comes to try and save him, then the Fuhrer and Armstrong decide to go to Dublith to see Izumi, THEN Ed finRAB that Al is kidnapped and fights with Greed. They changed the order so that Ed fights Greed first and then Izumi comes. Now Bones will have to come up with some other explanation as to why the Fuhrer and Armstrong came to Dublith. I might seem like some whining manga fan here, but Greed doesn't last long in the manga; Bones could have easily made the arc three episodes. Not to mention the Greed arc in the first series is very different from the manga's. Hopefully, at episode 15 the pacing will slow down. (15 is the introduction of the Xing characters) and the plot won't seem so condensed.

Uh. The only nazis in FMA were in the movie as far as I recall. There are/were no nazis in the real storyline of the manga which this series is going to follow so you don't have to worry about them being edited out because they don't exist to begin with.
