I walked out of Hulk, it was just dire. Only film I think I've ever walked away from at the cinema, though I REALLY wanted to abandon the Rugrats in Paris and one of the Star Wars films, but my son wouldn't let me.

The First Harry Potter film too, what a load of tripe that was.

Gawd- has the man ever heard of a story for gawRAB sake??? I soo find his stuff so booring... and the trailers always make them look vaguely interesting too! Damn those trailers!

Althought I dont mind Lost in Translation I can understand why its here... who really gives a toss that a middle aged man has a letch over a younger woman???!

The English Patient... booring... 2 very emotionally cold characters have a affair and get stranded in the desert and 1 dies! YAAAWWWNNN!!

Can I put in a vote for Independance Day??? I dont know why this horrendous cheese fest is generally regarded as an entertaining film. Mega bucks on CGI and huge stars do not make up for a horrendously cheesy script and vomit inducing gungho Americanism....

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I thought of '2001'! Because everyone raves about it being a classic, I keep trying to watch it, but never make it past 30 minutes. Is it just Kubrick that I'm allergic too? Hated 'Eyes Wide Shut' as well!

Have never left a cinema, but turned off :

- Unforgiven (again, everyone raved, it won Oscars, bored the sh@t out of me)
- Absolute Beginners (oh, dear)
- Basic Instinct (did anyone really think Sharon Stone's character wasn't guilty?)
- Borat (cringefest)

Here's a general tip - why not watch films made by people whose films you've enjoyed before and avoid films made by or starring people who have made films you don't like? After turning off during Big Momma's House and the recent Crank I'll never pay money to see a Jason Statham or Martin Lawrence film again.

I think you're on your own there, as with the Sofia Coppola movies.

You think they're going to argue with the projectionist?!

Outside of the first week, not many films are going to be playing to packed audiences.

Only one I can think of is that atrocious Talledega Nights movie. I should have turned off The Fast & the Furious, but I remembered there was a Dodge Charger in it, so waited until that appeared. It would HAVE to be right at the end though.... typical.
