It's a Wonderful Life - My very favorite film!
12 Angry Men - Best cast ever!
To Kill a Mockingbird - Gregory Peck, what a legend!!!
Rebecca - Hitchcocks finest! Don't belive the hype!
The Third Man - Cuckoo clocks!

They don't make'em like that anymore ;)

wow - so many great films on this thread!

Can I mention also, A Place In The Sun - Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor (looking just amazing) and Shelley Winters.

Also - need to throw a bit of SciFi into the mix - Invasion of The Body Snatchers and Them - B Movie Classics.

Also - Imitation of Life (1934 not the melodramatic 1959 version). This film was so ahead of its time. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0025301/

Bit of campy fun to be found in The Cat and The Canary (1939 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031143/)

Maybe dirtydamnape and I should have made the DigitalSpy Film Club black and white movies only, given the number of hits this thread has got!
Come on guys - feel free to join in - we are discussing The Shawshank Redemption this week. :)

Oh yes of course, with the great 'Cuckoo Clock' speech. Just brilliant. They certainly don't make like that anymore.

I recently watched 'Reach For The Sky' with Kenneth More, about Douglas Bader, the legenedary WWII hero who lost his legs and learnt to fly again. That was a great movie.

I also love 'Brief Encounter'. Classic British repressed romance! :)
