Hi, just wanted to stop in and say that I saw this movie last night and absloutely LOVED it! At first, it was kinda confusing when they were on the train, but after awhile, I started to get it. It'd definitely one of those movies that you have to watch beginning to end to understand it.

I loved all of the acting. Kirsten bothered me a bit, but I'm not really a big fan of her anyway. Elijah was great, as much as I couldn't stand his character. And Jim and Kate blew me away. Like someone else said, they seemed very natural with each other and I just loved them

I loved this movie!

It was really funny, but moving as well. Let me just say that I've never rooted for a couple as much as I rooted for Joel and Clementine. As a fan of Charlie Kaufman's work, I went in with high hopes and I was not dissapointed. While is started off a little slow, by the first half hour it did a 180 turn and didn't stop amazing me the rest of the way through.

The concept of the movie was really thought provoking, but the way it was played out was what made this movie so great. There were also a number of themes that were painfully familiar, the main one being the importance of overcoming the obstacles when a relationship is truly worth it.

Go out and see this movie right now!

Finally got to see this tonight and it was so amazing. I'm still in my post-movie glow I get after a movie I utterly adore.

I want to see it again! Can I? Can I?

Didn't Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind win an Oscar for Best Screenplay? I have to say this is very underrated. And no critics ever talk about how great Jim Carrey was in it. His part in the movie was more dramatic than comedic.

Yeah, I had a falling out with a friend recently, and, sadly, we're probably not going to talk again, but I do remember the fun times we had and can enjoy and smile at them.

It breaks my heart every time Kirsten's character finds out just what had happened to her.

yea i have it and watch it a lot !
it's the type of movie you just can't
get sick of ... :)

Yeah, I'm going to see this tomorrow night. I'm so excited! It looks so good!

Me too. I didn't buy the DVD when it came out waiting for a special edition, when the special edition came around I didn't have the money. It's been years and I keep forgetting to buy this. I can't wait to have it and watch it over and over.

katrina - I totally agree. I loved the implication of their meeting despite having their memories erased. My therapist and I discussed it (we talk about films all the time - shouldn't be paying him for that ;)) - he wanted to point out that I shouldn't regret my broken heart or the chances I took in love because we'd probably wind up doing the same thing, anyway, not to mention the fact we'd lose the good stuff if we got rid of all of it.

...he had a point.

I agree with everyone that Jim Carrey was outstanding. Personally, I can imagine nobody else playing the role.

It was such a well acted/written scene. :sigh:
