Hi guys!

I really loved this movie too. I mean, Charlie Kaufman's work is always amazing but the fact that he wrote a love story this time just blew my mind...man, I don't know how he excutes it with all the moving backwards and forwards with all the people appearing and disappearing...I mean, I just remember watching the part where Joel is chasing Clementine in the car and then gets out of the car, and he keeps going round and round...craziness...and then when time moves backwards in his apartment and it looks like he slashed in throat...oy...

I really loved everybody in this movie. I mean, Jim and Kate were freaking AMAZING (I love the role reversal with her being the wacky one and him being the stable one going on this crazy journey) but Mark, Tom, Elijah, even Kirsten were so great in this movie...

I absolutely loved how Mark and Kirsten were jumping on the bed while Joel is under...and the fact that he kept hearing their voices, esp. Elijah's...man, was Elijah so damn desperate to keep Clem to himself. I mean taking what Joel had said to Clem...that was very bad...recreating the memories that she had with Joel...so low sweetie...

Yeah, I really rooted for Joel/Clementine. I mean the way that Joel struggled to keep any memory of her and how he had those great conversations with her while he was unconscious were great...I loved that she said that he knows how impulsive she can be and that he would have to be the one to get out of it and tell her about them...aww...

I really liked this movie. I didn't understand the movie completely the first time I watched but I have seen it a handful of times now. I thought Jim Carrey did a fantastic job in this movie. Kate Winslet was also great in the film. This movie was very original and emotional. I couldn't stand Elijah Wood's character in the movie. The way most of the movie took place inside Joel's head was awesome. It was cool to see how Clementine and he met and when memories in his head were being erased. I also liked the movie because I could relate to Joel's character. Anyone ever wanted to erase a memory or memories of one of their exes?

This is one of my favorite movies! It was pretty strange, but it made it really original. Plus I love Kate Winslet.

I absolutely adore this movie.
It is my most fave movie ever.
Kate Winslet shines in this role
and Jim Carrey! He did such a
good job!

Aww, hee! Show him the movie! If he has show him to him again, Kate Winslet is charmer here so he'll be compelled to let the baby has such a cool, wonderful name. :D

I absolutely loved this movie. I went in with very high expectations. I adore CK's work. And I thought the cast was amazing. The fact that all of them managed to impress me more was.

I have a feeling this is one of those movies I'll end up watching over and over again.

It never would have occurred to me to pair Jim Carrey/Kate Winslet or Mark Ruffalo/Kirsten Dunst but it worked out really well.

I really liked this movie as well, I don't think it is a chick flick.I hade to watch it a few times before I understood everything but I consider one of the most intrestnig and orginal movies I've seen in a while.

Yeah, this movie rocks.

Haha, Kate Winslet did look amazing with her colorful hair. I've always wanted to dye my hair some crazy color and Clementine certainly made me want to do it even more. I never did it, though. Boo, me.

So, does anyone have any ideas on how I can convince my FI to name our baby Clementine if it's a girl? :)

Wow, I loved this movie, way more than I thought I would. I was weary, because I kept hearing about hand-held shots in the beginning that people had a problem with (I get motion sickness). But I didn't notice it at all. My favorite part was the beginning, when Joel and Clementine talk on the train and in her apartment. The acting was so natural. I also thought the scene with them talking under the covers was beautifully shot.

I'm pretty neutral on Kirsten Dunst overall, but I think she did so well with this part. She wasn't being overly cutesy, so yeah.

One of my favorite J/C scenes is where she
talks about the ugly doll and how it related to her and Joel just started to kiss her going "You're pretty, you're pretty, you're pretty..." and Joel says "Please let me keep this memory" - something to that effect. God, my heart ached. Plus, the lighting and yellowness of that scene fit the mood so well.
Love.

I don't think i'd consider it a chick flick either, but that was how I ended up seeing it. I loved it and don't regret buying the DVD at all. Excellent movie.

one my favorite scenes is at the end the one in which Clementine tells him that their relationship is doomed to fail and he says, "okay" like he doesn't care very much about the future because at that moment he just wants to be with her :sigh: cause she makes him feel happy

My friend who saw the film with me still considers this a chick flick/date movie, but I think she kind of missed the point (which is unusual for her). I love this film and I think it has so much more to say about not regretting choices, living life as you go through it and accepting the good and the painful, communication, etc.

In fact, I think I'll go buy this film... Thanks for the thread!

I think it helped to go in with zero expectations because I REALLY enjoyed this movie. I am almost embarassed to admit that Jim Carrey impressed me for once. He did a very nice job...only once did I see a glimmer of the over the top guy he usually is and he kept that in check.

I really thought this was a great movie.

I just got this dvd today from Netflix and loved it! This is one of my favorite movies ever. It made me want to die my hair. I want to rewatch it now. I don't usually like Jim Carrey but I thought he was really good in this movie. Kate Winslet is always good.
