it did great overseas I heard.

the book did do a better job of developing Eragon's relationships with every other character. I know in a movie it's tough to do that with a time constraint, but they could have at least shown a montage of time going by.



that annoyed me b/c by having Durza and not the Ra'zac kill Brom, my fav character's (Murtagh) intro was changed. I loved his intro in the book.
 
Im excited about the movie. I love the books. I hope the movie doesnt suck.

Our theater has a movie poster up with "coming soon" on it. Thats how I found out about it a few months ago. It was right infront of the theatre I was going into and I got really excited :lol:

OT..but Im also really excited about His Dark Materials being made into a movie. Holy crap, I had no idea. I must have been living under a rock :lol: I LOVE those books!
 
Oh THATs Murtaugh..I thought it was the bad evil ugly guy..I didn't want him and Eragon to be related!

Eragon did remind me of LOTR..SW not as much..I want a Eldest sequel soo bad.
 
and Saphria looks great. i was worried she wouldn't look good.


and i went to the theatre friday to a buffy singalong and they had a big banner beside theconcession stand for eragon
 
there wasn't enough time spent on Eragon's training and since most of Eragon takes place with them on the run, i think that should've been the majority of the movie.
 
I am so glad i waited then

It's like I already saw Memoirs of a Geisha and now I am reading the book.
I think it works better for me that way.
 
Definitely looks like wormtongue. I've just got the book, so I'm going to see how it compares reading the description and the peron in the movie.

And yes, no one compares to Darth Vader. He is one of the ultimate baddies. :lol:

And you just love him for being bad. Star Wars Trilogy just rocks man. Always and forever.
 
it made like 23 million, enough to land @ #2. So seems like just an average opening, not great but not bad lol, so we'll just have to see how it does in the long-run.
 
i was able to start Eldest today. I decided to not reread eragon cuz i was just looking so forward to Eldest. So far i like it better than Eragon, probably cause you don't have to get introduced to the main characters...always a good thing about sequels lol
 
I heard about the avril song before. I like avril but this doesn't seem like the type of movie she'd write a song for.

And i'm curious to see how Joss does. Cuz she's doesn't match the image i have in my head of the character, i expected someone a little older.
 
Yeah, there were alot of things I wished they kept in the book. I felt the whole "on the run" thing was just rushed. Really rushed.

But in any case, I guess we'll see if they made enough money to justify another movie and how much budget they will get for it.
 
That's the one thing that irks me. The fact that in the book you could see the relationship between Brom and Eragon and Brom and Saphira. But in the movie, because it was so rushed, you really couldn't get taht feeling about the relationship as you did in the book, you know?
