I just want it to do really good so if they do movies for the other two books, the budget isn't cut and then we end up with bad effects and all that lol

are the twins in the movie? i've been reading that they aren't and apparently some people are mad cuz i guess the twins were in early cast photos or something like that.

if thats true...maybe the movie was originally longer but they had to cut a lot out to ensure the PG rating.

BTW i just bought Eldest today..i couldn't wait for the paperback version to come out. Haven't started reading it yet.

I didn't know that about LOTR. with all the special affects I thought it would have a huge budget.

I have to say if it had a little more of the elements of the book the movie might have fared better. But I don't think they deviated from it a WHOLE lot. But if you're a stickler then it would be hard to watch.

The biggest thing was just missing out on some character moments with each other. That and the ending wasn't remotely the same.

Still I would want a second movie. :D And probably a third. Heheh...

I have to read the 2nd book now to see who is like Yoda

never saw Queen of the Damned but I'll take your word for it

I just watched this movie, and i absolutely LVOE it!! it was incredible! i think I might read the books now..

 no, no blue light please.

Make him in the image of his dead dragon...

oohh that would be kinda cool

 jayta. I love Star Wars,

I kept thinking that Brom was Obi-wan.

i forgot durza's description.

the ILM team worked so hard on making Saphira believable. the trailer was delayed a bunch of times just cause they wanted to include her in the trailer and she was never ready, so seeing that she looks real is a relief.

when I went to the theater I saw a hug cardboard cutout and I read the popcorn bags will contain images from the movie.

Star Wars because of the whole Dragon Rider thing - how one Dragon Rider wiped out all of them and how Eragon is the last...blah, blah, blah - it's like how Darth Vadar (a Jedi) wiped out the Jedi Knights and how Luke Skywalker is the last. Obiwan is like Brom.

so you love dragons and horses, Jazz?

some books I like equally to the movies but most of the time I enjoy the books more

from the two chapts i read of Eldest I liked it.

I always wondered why I heard many people have trouble with the books.
(I never read them myself).

I could only imagine how difficult it is to translate to other languages

Yes, that's correct. In order to get a good budget for the second movie, your first movie has to be astronomical in the box office charts. At least double the cost of what it came to make the first movie.

Fellowship of the Ring (LOTR) was made on a very small budget. Tiny! However, because the movie was so big...Two Towers and Return of the King had astronomical budgets. :D

Well, books have always been better than the movie! That's a fact. I liked the book better than the movie...but you know, the book wasn't one of my favourites. I just read it for the dragon. ;)

Nice review Jayta :)

I agree about the training montage.
The training seemed rushed and incomplete.
