i wouldn't say a textbook lol. nothing is that evil. I just couldn't get into it...when I read books I always find at least 1 character I like and want to see through the end of the book but with LOTR I didn't care for any of the characters lol
 
I haven't seen the movie yet, actually I've only just finished reading the book but correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't Arya have black hair? Thats what color they say she has in the book. I know it's only a minor detail but I'm worried that the movie will be a let down if they can't get something as simple as a hair color correct.
 
It's about an hour and 45 minutes.

Saphira's voice? It wasn't bad. It was very feminie and she looked more powerful than her voice.

and i don't see why critics didn't like the voice they chose for her. It suited her fine.

and i think i'm a softie cuz i teared up @ the end of the final battle where [sp]Saphira was injured. i knew she couldn't die cuz of the books but still i teared up....damn i'm so emotional over anything lately lol[/sp]
 
i think in 1 or 2 weeks it will make back it's budget.



i'm getting farther in Eldest...i'm trying to not rush through it cuz i wanna read it for awhile..but it's hard..i just wanna keep reading w/o stopping lol

ETA: Eragon the book is @ #2 on the bestseller's list again, up from #4. Movie gave it a nice bump. So at least people will see how the book is compared to the movie. The book will probably surprise people who saw the movie before reading it...but hopefully it'll be a nice surprise lol
 
So I saw the movie last night, and well I wasn't too please with it. I thought it was a bastardization of the novel. If I hadn't read it I might have liked it more, my bf hasn't read it so he enjoyed it. It was good for they did but I was so disappointed.
 
cool! i think i might start reading it... Eragon is the 1st right?

do you think they will make a sequal to the movie?
 
i haven;t seen it yet, but the rushed thing doesn't surprise me. Isn't it only a little over and hour and a half long?

so how was saphira? i've seen some critics saying her voice doesn't suit her.

Murtaugh was the boy who was the traitors son. The one who saved Eragon's but and then the rebels locked up b/c they didn't trust him b/c of who his father is.
 
on imdb it said the movie cost $100 million to make. so it didn't make its money back

With regard to Eragon, I think saphira should have been more blue and definatly less scaley.
There is a new trailer on Eragon now, I like it better as it has more saphira footage and is more dramatic, (there are two, but I mean the shortest one with no talking)

I still hvn't seen it in the cinema or any posters up anywhere and i'm quite suprised they havn't started putting more promo out there. With most films, they do a 'sneak preview' on TV shows ages before it's released but i've not seen this for Eragon. I hope they havn't just decieded not to back it anymore cos the early reviews are bad. Shame for all the real fans and shows no commitment to them if they do.
 
That's ok. His role was very small in this film.
I only remembered his name b/c my sister loves the actor who plays him.
