I've never read or watched LOTR..lol i started both the books and the movies but i just lose interest about halfway thru each time..i don't know why cuz fantasy is usually my favorite genre of books

I read Eragon. Which I can't say was the most stellar read by far. I mean I'm big into description, but I was like...'yada yada' for some of the stuff. The inbetween stuff was hard to read. But not bad for a 15 year old ;)

I was surprised that Arya's description was nothing like the movie. However they picked a great actress for it. It' just her hair wasn't uh, 'ebony' like in the books. I wasn't too disappointed.

A lot of the stuff didn't happen in the books. It's too bad they didn't follow it a little better. They got most of it in, but rearranged a lot of things. It would have been nice if they had felt like they were on the run a lot longer and had that time of 'peace and safety' feel that they got in the books. I would have loooooooved if Eragon and Arya would have had that battle. That would have been fun.

Why do I get the sneakiest suspicion that Murtaugh and Eragon are related? Hmmm???

I want them to do all of the movies. It would be fun.

I prefer her older in the movie - looks like the CGI is better when shes all grown up

I saw it and I liked it. Although it was a bit rushed.
The actors...some of them were good, some of them were less good, but the movie was still good for me despite that. Best actor of the bunch I found was the girl playing Aria (spelling??).

hey guys... i'm Sara... i read the books last year... and i think the movie was ok... but the books were definitely better...

just got back from seeing the movie.....it was awesome!!! i loved it so much!!! Eragon was so cute!!!! and so was his cousin. i was excited to see Garrett Hedlund in it!! i love him!!

a manly voice would seemed weird....it'd be like cher's voice coming out of her mouth lol.

and i was in a campus computer lab when i teared up...thank god there were only like two other people in there with me lol

That sucks that you are disappointed Frozeninside
I have yet to read the books.

I have no idea when the 3rd book will come out or what it will even be titled.

I would imagine they will finish the story - I reckon it will be big sucess, at the box office at least. It would be interesting to know if the big name actors have signed a three movie deal

nice avs.

oh yea, the dragon I guess could scare a 3 year old. I have to get out of the mindset of a 21 year old.
Durza was more freaky than the dragon.

 Publisher know that the book cover is everything. That's why they go through great pains to make sure it's catchy enough to be bought. :D

Victoria: Yeaaah that's it. Of course I knew that was your name :D :look:

Behritall: Yeah what they said above. Murtaugh's the swordsman/archer that can go head to head with Eragon.

Jazz: *rolls eyes incredulously* You even TRY to compare the two? Silly Jazz

*pats Jazzy on the head*

Not even close. There were times were I would skim, especially since he tried a Tolkien-esque style of describing everything around him, yet was less than interesting. Sometimes it fits with the plot, but most writers can't pull it off. He couldn't. But I give him kudos for trying since he *was* only 15.

Gah. The Hobbit and LOTR are by far my favorite long novels. But there have been so many books that have shaped my world since childhood. Francine Rivers, if you ever get a chance to read her books....:jaw_drop: Seriously. She maybe a Christian author, but she has a way of writing characters...just OMGOSH! Even some of my non-christian friends adore her books. Which says a lot.

anyways...:P

So I wonder how long it's going to take for us to find out if there is a sequel :P

The movie wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed it. Some friends of mine and me myself went to the cinema last week. We have decided to watch "Happy Feet". Fortunately we went to the "Eragon". The movie was good. I like it, except this Eragon boy. I did not like him. He's cute but not my type :D   :gone: I like the Dragon though.
Actually some scenes were boring for me. I don't know, why they were kinda funny.
The movie has worthed the money though ;)

I saw this movie on Wed. night. Is there a book series because the movie was cool but a lot of things (ex: the ending) screamed out Dragon! Sequel!
