Destroy the Rebirth - "Gundam 00" Season 2 on SyFy's Ani-Monday Talkback

Saji learned about the Thrones a few episodes ago through that Haro that was hooked up to that laptop. Still, from where he's standing, it still wouldn't have happened if CB hadn't begun its armed interventions in the first place. It's pretty clear that he doesn't care whether Setsuna was directly responsible or not.

Epilogue reviews for this week...

Indelible Past: Nothing special. Just exposition from Homer Katagiri that in order to avoid more casualties and a loss of resources, A-Laws neeRAB to turn to the Innovators for help. It also previews the O Riser, with Ian telling Linda that it will make the 00 unstoppable.

The Light of Heaven: At Lagrange 3, 0 Riser is tested. Setsuna activates Trans Am. Anew observes the 00's GN particle output exceeding 290%. Its power is beyond the theorized limit, shocking Ian and Linda. Ian speculates that this is the true Twin Drive intended by Aeolia. Tieria, Alleujah and Soma all have reactions to the excessive particle output. Tieria holRAB his head in the shower (yes, it's fanserviiiiice). SoMarie senses Memento Mori's impact point, realizing that Sergei is nearby. She calls out to him in a panic. Elsewhere, Alleujah collapses near the GN Archer. He rises again and faces the camera--with the Halleujah personality awakened.

You know something Allelujah, you suck as a mechanic. Exia was pretty much totalled at the end of season 1 and Setsuna got it up and running, albeit barely.

The first Season 1 DVRAB aren't even coming out until July 21st. Who knows how long it will take?

These Sci-Fi airings are nothing more then a glorified commercial for a product that's not even out yet.

I agree, human history tenRAB to be filled with violence.

Besides, if the Innovators do win, I doubt whatever comes from their plan would lead to peace, but rather more tyranny.

That does make sense. Kill any witnesses and blame the rebels. But what could the Innovators hope to achieve by doing this?

Up to this point, i assumed VEDA was merely a psychohistory machine: used to predict the future course of events. It never occurred to me that Veda would actively be used for Electronic Warfare.

You know, I think Scott McNeil's been giving Kelly Sheridan crazy lessons, because crazy!Louise sounded AWESOME.

Speaking of McNeil, so long, Prince Ali. You won't be missed other than the awesome VAing. There are no layers to strip away from Ali Al Saachez, he was just bloodthirsty and insane and nothing else. All he wanted was perpetual war, and that's why he had to die. He only wanted to kill.

These two episodes really show how Gundam 00 is a modern classic in the giant robot genre. Sure, there's some ridiculous super robot stuff that doesn't really fit plus you get the feeling that the plot would be perfectly fine without Marina's song. But there is a heart and soul behind this show that makes it transcend all of the other spinoRAB and AUs, that makes it stand every bit as high as Tomino's work. You get the feeling that this isn't going to go the way of the kill 'em all, but won't give you a crappy ending like Destiny.

The destruction of the A-Laws being cut, though, is really going to make a lot of viewers confused. The time cuts SUCK.

In other news, Saji and Louise finally get together, Andrei is forced to come to terms with what he's done and so does Billy. Also, Feldt pwns Lacus 4ever.

Just awesome work with "screw the budget!" animation that is spectacular and beautiful, a definite step-up from the stock footage-ridden fights in the two SEED series. I don't think it will be possible to watch Destiny's battles in particular after witnessing Gundam 00.

Characters, plots, animation, and pacing, this show is near-perfect on all counts. The sheer amount of work and love put into this is what makes this show perhaps my favorite AU Gundam.
