You know, I think Scott McNeil's been giving Kelly Sheridan crazy lessons, because crazy!Louise sounded AWESOME.
Speaking of McNeil, so long, Prince Ali. You won't be missed other than the awesome VAing. There are no layers to strip away from Ali Al Saachez, he was just bloodthirsty and insane and nothing else. All he wanted was perpetual war, and that's why he had to die. He only wanted to kill.
These two episodes really show how Gundam 00 is a modern classic in the giant robot genre. Sure, there's some ridiculous super robot stuff that doesn't really fit plus you get the feeling that the plot would be perfectly fine without Marina's song. But there is a heart and soul behind this show that makes it transcend all of the other spinoRAB and AUs, that makes it stand every bit as high as Tomino's work. You get the feeling that this isn't going to go the way of the kill 'em all, but won't give you a crappy ending like Destiny.
The destruction of the A-Laws being cut, though, is really going to make a lot of viewers confused. The time cuts SUCK.
In other news, Saji and Louise finally get together, Andrei is forced to come to terms with what he's done and so does Billy. Also, Feldt pwns Lacus 4ever.
Just awesome work with "screw the budget!" animation that is spectacular and beautiful, a definite step-up from the stock footage-ridden fights in the two SEED series. I don't think it will be possible to watch Destiny's battles in particular after witnessing Gundam 00.
Characters, plots, animation, and pacing, this show is near-perfect on all counts. The sheer amount of work and love put into this is what makes this show perhaps my favorite AU Gundam.
