Destroy the Rebirth - "Gundam 00" Season 2 on SyFy's Ani-Monday Talkback

To be fair to Hercure, he had no idea of just how powerful VEDA is when it comes to information control. And is it any wonder that they'd kill civilians, when it's his plan to release them to spread the truth. They can't allow that.

"I wonder if I had any reason for my battles."
Like your battle with Alcoholism? ZING!

They figured out that launching missiles very slowly penetrates the shielRAB. I guess someone been watching Dune.

Sumeragi: "Just as planed!"
Setsuna: "Hey, that's my line!"

IT'S A GUNDAM!!!!!!

Hmm, I wonder who that masked man can be...

They're sending in the Red Shirts!

Well, not as action packed as last episode, but the ending battle was enjoyable. I couldn't help but laugh at "Mr. Bushido" though.

Saji Trying to Bring back Louise From Insanity! I love how WorRAB actually have Power in Anime...If only the same were true for US eh, the world would be a better place!

Funny, that...makes you think twice about all that "Innovado" talk. Definitely a possible issue for the movie.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I think that gray haired fellow is the Union President from season one.

Alright, line up, single file! Farewell Bring, we hardly knew ye. Farewell Devine... *hours later*

Aaaand farewell Ali....we knew enough, you bastard, now go burn.

To me, it's just a sign that people are enjoying themselves and the show.

I don't hate her as much as some may, but I am not throwing pitty parties for her either. Not until she learns her lesson. I am not excusing the actions Ptolemy crew either or anyone else that does bad things and feel bad about it, just because you feel bad about something, doesn't excuse it, but makes it more easier to sympaties with or forgive.

You would think or hope the death of her brothers, would make her realise the consiquences of death and killing people, and how it effects the living.

Only time will tell if it does.

Something I always enjoyed about this series is how it just kept on revealing things. There's always something new to think about or speculate over. Things kept progressing but was always some issue being put out there, and there were always more secrets hidden away just waiting to be revealed. For instance, there's the fact that Ribbons has been sitting inside a colossal, very cool spaceship all of this time along with Veda. And it isn't until the next to last episode that we finally learn what the true, complete plan that Aeolia had in mind really was.

Some time ago some fans thought that the Trans Am burst was some massive dues ex machina, but while it saved everyone's bacon I don't quite agree. For starters, it's telling that in spite of all the "understanding each other" stuff there still had to be fighting in order for necessary things to happen. You have Ali and Ribbons and his Innovades in contrast to, say, Louise and Graham and Andrei. There's also the fact that Trans Am is a limited function and even the burst only goes so far, so Setsuna can't just fly 00 around and bring healing and peace to the world without a care. The ideal is more about how humanity might grow from this point on, rather than Setsuna saving the world with GN particles. The key difference between Ribbons and Setsuna, in fact, is arguably that one considers himself a superior savior whereas the other (Setsuna), in spite of his evolution, does not.

It's also important to note that, as mentioned earlier, the affect of GN particles on consciousness was built up throughout season 2, and an observant viewer could easily conclude that 00 Raiser was stimulating brain waves and facilitating the evolution of its pilot. It wasn't surprising to me to see at least one person believing that Louise was dead, while others thought as I did that she had passed out from severe mental trauma. But the latter was clearly the case, fortunately.

The only thing I have difficulty understanding out of the whole thing is Lasse's injury, but that may be due to my own lack of research.

As for Aeolia's plan, I still like what I said at 00 forums, so I'll quote that. I should note that the idea of "aliens" in 00's future is a very debatable point, but I was dealing with it as a substantial possibility anyhow--which it is.

Nena taking out Wang! That was so pleasing.

Wait...Louise, here?

Ok, so Lousie finally caught up with Nena. I sure nothing bad isn't going to happen...

They normally do 2 eps a week for most of the shows they air on Animonday

I really wish they chose to air season 1 along with Gurren Lagann these past few weeks. instead of Rave Master

Well, to tell you the truth, I was expecting disappointment. The setting had changed to much that it began to look like another cliche fest.

Yet, these episodes were strangely satisfying. Instead of another season, it just feels like a sequel to a Gundam series. The action was good, the characters were re-introduced in a fine way, and the plot manages to kick off right away.

Plus, the background information didn't sound all too forced (except the "As You Know, Bob" dialong with Col. Kati).

Not to mention, not just one, not just two, BUT three meganekkos! This is a dream come true

Not to mention seeing Soma and Nena! Yes, I AM SO HAPPY!

Overall, a good start to what I thought would fall flat on its face.

Edit: Is it just me, or is Lousie acting alot more like Fllay now? (Whoa, three Fllay expies! I'm in haven!)
