Destroy the Rebirth - "Gundam 00" Season 2 on SyFy's Ani-Monday Talkback

I agree. Sergei was too much of a challenge for the future A-Laws seem to want to create. He was fine to entrust back when the HRL only had 10 GN-Xs and needed to beat back the original Gundams, but now they have equally compotent and more loyal officers who are further trained in using GN-X family machines. Hence, the decision to snuff Sergei out before he becomes a danger. This whole arc seems to have raised the point that not everyone in the ESF is thinking along the same lines. Though after the sheer casualty and damage levels of this incident, you have to wonder if anyone else would dare challenge the brass again.

There's something to be said for that, although I like it since it makes Sergei's demise even sadder. While Andrei shouldn't be excused, I think we're meant to infer that it all could have been avoided if only Sergei hadn't closed himself off. The apology came too late. Andrei blamed him, Sergei blamed himself, and the gap became too wide. Very tragic.

I actually don't think the other epilogue is such a loss, since Wang's scheme will become all too apparent anyway. The lack of it does take away suspense though, which is a shame.

Awesome episode, only bad thing is the epiloque cut this week. You are all missing on an great cliffhanger.

It will be shown next week in the beginning of the next episode, but still it is not the same without the one week wait of spectulating what will happen now.

Hey hey now in regarRAB to the female characters. I'm all for risk taking but let's not take TOO much risk to the point of eliminating most of the fanbase who stuck around with the first season by pushing who were the main characters aside. Besides, would've felt tacked on in that regard.

That said, I would've liked a new Meister instead of Lyckon, and had him at a an observer/mentor/civilian capacity (making him quite an interesting opposite to the original), but then again I enjoyed what I got to the point that I didn't mind that at all.

I don't really like the change from "arabiguous but benevolent protagonists" to straight up Good-guy rebels. It was far more interesting when you had no idea which side was right. It brought about many questions.

Now, its just too much of the traditional Gundam plot. Rebels vs. Evil federation conspiracy. Sure, CB isn't messianic good , but they do hold the moral high ground against the A-laws. It wasn't as fun as the first part.

As for guilt, well CB did only what the plan called for, but they didn't go overboard. They kept to military targets (which was their stated goal in the first place), and did directly attack civilian targets to accomplish their goals. In fact, they were probably better at keeping the peace than the Union, AEU, or HRL were ever able to.

It only got bloody because of Corner and Ribbon's interference. CB may have accomplished their goals without the plan getting screwed up.

So yet another development of mask guy vs. main character rivalry. Oh the suspense. *Sarcasm*

Considering Mr. Bushido is just a tool, I don't like him very much. Tools are just there to be used and reused at will. I can't relate to some guy who is blinded to the fact hes clearly being used.

Ah, Soma's voice is just so majestic. But really ,she seems to becoming more and more human.

Wow, that medical gown must be at the limit in containing Sumeragi's chest.

So the A-laws cancel their attempt to find Soma. I guess even the A-laws consider themselves ReRABhirts.

After all the death and destruction everywhere, at least Soma/Marie looks on the bright side of life.

Wow, no wonder why Al has so many issues. I wonder if he ate frienRAB after killing them.

Speaking of which, is the person who has multiple personalities commits evil actions, but only because one personality is much more psychotic than the other, would the person still be responsible?

Soma killed Hal! Eh, no lost there.

Man, this is starting to sound like an InuyashaxFllay fic. Go ahead, close your eyes, and that's all I see.

Sergei: "Move away from the Lieutenant!"
She's mine I tell you, MINE!

Man Marina isn't taking the news of her homeland being redrawn. I be upset too, probably going to Gandymander the whole nation. I hate when politicans do that.

Marie:"Right now I'm no longer Soma Peries!"
My name is Fllay!

In the future, every major military has no intelligence capabilities and can not tell the difference between different organizations.

Marie: NOOOOOOOOOOOo!
*Bang*
Sergei: "Ha! You just got PUNKED!"

Marie: *To Sergei*"More than anything I wanted to be your daughter!"
Sergei: "Darn it, I wanted more than that!"

*Marie has joined your party!* Do do do da do da do!

*Al and Marie kiss*
WHOOOOOO! Go Al!

I'm going to watch the next episode tomorrow. After fighting Cattank and getting pinged to death in Magic has taken a lot of energy from me.

Well I'm glad to see season 2 on Sci-Fi but (equine necromancy bludgeoning powers activate) it's utterly boneheaded to cut out the epilogues.

Also every time Mileina talks this pops into my head.

Lyle should be careful, Anew may talk and look like a women, but with these innovators who knows?

The main hero and main villain meet at last.

I Loved how Tierra infultrated the party disguised as a woman! that was brilliant!

touching base on the concept of Mr Bushido, Im liking his character more and more, he obviously is in the battle to take down setsuna, but what brought about this huge personality change from season 1 to season 2, i know his mentor who built the flags was killed, and how he couldnt overcome the battle against setsuna! but whats the core idea thats preventing him from killing setsuna, he has a chance when the GN failed. Does he want to prove to himself he is a good pilot?

o and to those who saw the Jap version, did we miss any clips from this episode?

The episode 30 epilogue is the same as the prologue for episode 31, pretty much. Nothing lost there.

A minor time cut got rid of a brief interrogation scene for Saji before Sergei shows up to talk to him. Two officers are questioning him and hitting him in the face, refusing to believe that he's not really with Katharon. That's why there was a mark on his cheek when he was talking to Sergei.

Tieria raging at Saji...wow. Great dialogue, great acting. Dub Tieria rules.
