Crash - A must see film!!!

Just watched Crash on DVD and have to say that it is fantastic - it's thought provoking, moving and most of all makes you think.

Give me films like this with good acting and no CGI any day. If Hollywood made films like this all the time, they would not be in the mess they are at the moment.

If you are planning to see a film this weekend - see this film, you'll thank me.

:( dont care if I get flamed but I cant stand film piracy

Nothing beats going to the cinema to watch a film and feeling truly enveloped by sound and vision.

I've lost count of the amount of times that frienRAB who have watched pirated copies of films like Sin City, Star Wars III, and Fantastic Four and hated them without realising that one of the reasons is because they watched it on a small screen with tinny sound and dodgy pictures.

I dont think Kevin really neeRAB to justify where he gets his movies from to forum members.

Ive no idea wether his copy of the movie is "legit" or not however where he gets them from is really only a matter between him and the appropriate authorities.

So lets get back to talking about the movie, I'm going to catch this after work one evening. Ive heard from somone that its a bit "talky" ? Although still quite gripping.

Ive also been told its somthing you have to see in the right frame of mind to get the most out of it. Comments?

Yes indeed, i dont see why he would bother to try and proove anything to anyone, but regardless..

...any comments about the movie itself?

I'd like to hear more of what people thought about it, especially wether or not it might be a little hard to get into after a long day at work :)

Actually no.

I didnt see your second posting as I was typing mine at the time.

I stand by what I said though - even if you think its irrelevant to you

Are you going to go to the cinema now and see it? Its a complete waste if you only see it on DVD

So why would you make a point about piracy, when this post was about "crash" unless you were insinuating that I had a pirate copy?

See it at the cinema? well I love visiting the cinema, but it's being spoilt for me by the endless chatter and noise of mobile phones that is driving me and others away.

I have a cracking digital surround system and 50" plasma in my own cinema room so I see movies perfectly well in there.

No i'm serious, and I'm also a bit of a film buff who could even sit through and enjoy Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker" three times in succession.

to be fair, the fact that it has only just come out at the cinema in the UK, and isn't available to buy on DVD anywhere yet, does kind of suggest it may be a pirate copy. (even if it isn't)

i know what you mean about cineams these days tho - nothing more annoying than people behind you chattering and rustling their maltesers -oes my feckin' head in too.

Agreed. Thought this was poor and hyped up beyond reason. I've nothing against hard-hitting talkies, but this might as well have had a caption appearing every two minutes saying "This film is about racism. Racism. Yeah, you got that? RACISM".

Talk about one-note.

As for Mr Harrison, your behaviour has been a little daft. Refusing point-blank that this is a pirate and then refusing point-blank to give more details!
