Crash - A must see film!!!

wow, long post, glad I gave up on the argument between you two a lot of posts ago.

Anyway, I would just like to say that I don't think racism is the only theme of this movie. I think it is also saying about how isolated we have become, and how hard we find it to communicate with other people (despite the developments in communication technology!). People are much less community minded these days, and find it easier to distance themselves (and their actions) from other people, and not always think about the effect their behaviour has on people.

For the umpteenth time. Difference of opinion is fine. Saying nonsense such as...

Then changing it too...

Is a BIG DIFFERENCE.

And if you don't want someone to challenge what you say. Don't say it! Especially on a public forum!!!

9 1/2 WEEKS IS NOT JUST ABOUT SEX. If you've ever had... Geez... oh read Yahoo's review of it.

"Stylish, highly-charged erotic psychodrama in which a mysterious businessman and a beautiful art dealer meet and are swept up in a whirlwind of passion, manipulation, and obsessive sex. Not for kiRAB, the timid, or people on a diet. Available in "R" and unrated versions."

How on Earth is that one note???????

Sure 'cos its NOT an opinion based on knowledge. If you knew what the word 'subtext' meant you'd realise that. OH! But you do now. That's why you changed YOUR ORIGINAL OPINION about their being 'no subtext' to...

Which IS an opinion based on knowledge.

You already have. From...

To...

And from...

To...

The latter being more than fair comment.

Thanks for cutting down the length of the posts. I guess you've conceded defeat on most of my points so have chosen to ignore them. Unfortunately, there's still the matter of...

See previous post where I addressed this issue. By the way, the only reason you're aware of such 'nonsense' is because you were still banging on about my 'opinion' several posts later.

I've no problem with someone challenging what I say and I expected nothing less from a thread entitled

Its not all its cracked up to be, a sort of anti DeathWish where everyone appears to be a victim of their own overacting (Brendan Fraser should really lose that Crash Test Dummy voice) but there's enough in it to keep the sheep amused.

On sale now for

You've changed your mind (even though you'll spin your reasons for doing so, once again). It's been documented and will be read by future media studies students titled "How to dig your own grave AND deny the fact that you're doing it!" :o

Why on Earth would I want to clutter such beautiful moments up with your attempts to hide it under meaningless sentences?

Hmm... maybe you should take your own advice and...

:D

Yeah. I insulted you by telling you to wait for the Teletubbies movie. That must have hurt.

Ya think? Any ambitions on being a politician? Spin me Mr DJ! :)

Had to spell it out to you eventually. ;)

We've crashed. What more is there to say? But hey, I'll give you the last word (I know that will make you happy.)
:)

Changed my mind? Nah. Still stand by my original post.

A different tact, then. Gasp...you must have changed your mind!

Still having the therapy. :(
If you expect to get away with insulting people and/or insinuating they're not intelligent, you're very naive. Or maybe you just appreciate a good row?

Not just yet, but I'll let you know when I do as you'll make a more than adequate opponent. I think we both know who'd come out on top, though. :D

Ta. Since this sorry saga began I've re-evaluated my life and now see the film in a completely different context. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Too kind. I'd like to say it's been a pleasure, but I'm sure we'd both be aware that this would be a total lie. It has, however, been an experience.

Take care of yourself. ;)
