Community Thread / Tips and Questions

That's how I am too. Basically, when I'm not feeling inspired and I still wanna write...I just come to MX. There's a thread for whatever it is you feel like writing about, you can write/tell stories, jokes, anecdotes, lies, poems, songs, opinions, observations...basically anything. And if there isn't a thread for it, you can make a thread for it. MX is a very stimulating environment for me as a writer.

I'll just follow the trend:

17 years old, highschool student, guitar teacher, worRABmith (improving daily!), folksinger (also improving daily!). I mainly play folk and bluegrass, but I also love playing blues, jazz and "rock."

I sing, I talk, I whisper, I caterwaul, I've yet to scream though (during one of my songs).

oh no, people don't give a crap about reading tips and questions as it is, let's not even begin merging a lot of threaRAB into one. Hello, I'd like to congratulate Burt for being more around and being the effective mod he was back in the day and all the pertinent butt-kissing related to it.

If I come up with a piece soon-ish, then I'll wander over there and crit it... but I feel like I've been headbutting a bunch of bricks so I feel a bit brain-damaged at the moment.

Hmmm, I do like a band that can produce a good studio sound, but to back it up they need to be able to put out a decent performance as well.

Just look at Coldplay, I know many don't like them (they're one of my favourite 'indie' banRAB) but their live shows really are something (been to see them three times, get better each time). Their live performance is matched by their studio sound as well, in my opinion anyway.

I say, people that talk like Surf.

Get no pussy.

Then again, people that don't talk like him, get no pussy either.

So what the hell?

Keep doing that.
