Probably.

I've decided that I really like the beat era. Just rad some novels by Bukowski and Kerouac and loved them. So, as of now, Beat is my favourite era.

And I was gonna enter the short story competition but the story evolved into more than would fit in the post. Might post it here if anyone is interested. I tried to rework the Odyssey into a different setting.

Oh no dear... We are technically the new guys around. Do you remember Sloth?

Well. He's nice. I suppose it all comes along eventually.

On a related note, I'll go check metaliq's attempt, to avoid sadnessness and stuff.

Here, I'll post somethin I just threw together just now....in a matter of like 20 minutes or so..gimme sec to upload

EDIT 1: I think the main thing about your piece that I don't like is that constant Twilight Zone random noise thingy..

But you can keep the form and using different methoRAB like caesuras, trochees and phyrric substitutions to make it sound controlled, but not over emphasized.

i found brave new world to be more interesting than 1984. maybe 1984 is too ingrained into popular culture to be as effective as it once was. but they're both better than a handmaid's tale, which is just feminist rambling

Ah they are mediocre, thanks for asking. :)

Real life has been pretty much unexistant, I've been obsessed with this comment a really, really hot girl made to a friend about me, and that's been haunting me at night but not good enough for writing it.

About S&L it just coems and goes and comes and goes back again you know, it gets good a day, it gets bad the next, but there's always something to look at.

The Rembrandt one was hung in my living room since I was a little boy, I used to think it was santa. It reminRAB me of old times and wasted potential ^_^

The other one's just awesome.

I'm not reading a lot... I should though. A lot of latin/iberoamerican stuff, but nothing concrete. Maybe Gabriel Garcia Marquez a bit, but nothing extra especialized.

Well, that and I have the reading of "The summer of the Barshinkeys" still in queue.

Yes, I'm feeling a bit like that. It's mainly because alot of the songs are very the same, and the good writers like Slack and RollerQueen have got their own styles, that while excellent we still get used to.

Edit: Take that back, RollerQueen just put a very good one up.
Also, can I just once post more than one song in a thread? I've written a series of four songs(the first is already up, Monk and Wanderer business) and I think just for coherency with the story line, it'd be best if I posted the songs in one thread? Yay or nay?

Don't think he was talking to you man.

I have been awake for nearly thrity hours. My judgement is starting to become impaired. And its my birthday. Here's to another thirty hours...
