Community Thread / Tips and Questions

It may be the fastest selling, but that doesn't really mean all that much. If they get more albums sold than the Beatles then I really will eat my hat. It basically shows that they managed to set up their band well. They worked from all the tiniest bars in Sheffield, gradually building up to the bigger venues, building a huge fanbase just from their live work. Their album is no-where near as good as their live performances, and it's their live performances that people are buying the album from.

It just shows how clever the music business is really.

sub-topic: threaRAB are lacking critiquing and it's irritating, everyone posts and their return ratio is very poor. I've critiqued like 4:1 critiques : posts, ahhh annoying.
 
The school systems shove Poe up asses? That's funny. I must have missed that class. I do agree with Eliminator. I hate when "gothic" or "artsy" kiRAB decide to say Poe is their favorite poet. Usually they're saying that because they're too dark and brooding for anyone else. Maybe I just missed it, but the most Poe I got through high school (I'm a Senior) was a fat book in the underused library about him.
 
well, I'll give you the brief summary:
it was pretty good, I like your writing style, nothing seemed too forced, which was good. The stanza with the names in was really, really good, but I can't work out why I liked it so much, and the second stanza's second and third lines were a little clumsily worded in the middle.

Those were the big points.

I keep considering coming back but I never do. I can't believe it's been 9 months already since I left.

Maybe someday, but every song I read on here isn't worth comment.

Moz and Tojes: That could be useful. It may encourage people to give good crits and not mess about if they know they are going to get rep for good input. Great idea IMO :thumb:
 
everyone is off the bright eyes subject but i thought i would say.. they remind me of Death Cab.. and i must say.. i respect all music [[except rap]] but i dont really feel the acoustic mellowness.. i like acoustic stuff.. but not banRAB that everysong is acoustic and what not
