the movie was good and okay I guess. it really got to me, the scene where the spiders were introduced and then the "quarantine" got to me..probably because I'm terrified of eye stuff and spiders

I know a lot of people noticed the monster dropping into the water at the last Coney Island scene which I missed. did anything happen during/after the credits?

I think a lot of the shake up people felt was probably emotional too..a lot of the scenes went by fast, scary and just plain emotional.

I've said this before and I will say it again. This movie is awesome. Earning 41 million dollars this weekend shows how awesome it is. That was a record for a January opening weekend. The Lily character was a hottie. I was surprised to see her running in her heels and party dress.

Like most I saw this before seeing Transformers and it seems very interesting. A little weird, but it sparked my interest. I wanna know what the monster thingy was!

I just wrote a LONG piece about Cloverfield and then Microsoft works closed down. Is there ANY way I can restore what I lost?!

I got dizzier in The Bourne Supremacy. But Cloverfield shook me up too. That hand held thing is a hit or miss. Luckily, I loved both Bourne and Cloverfield.

I can't say enough about the special effects, the monster story, the way the action was filmed, the characters were fun and heart breaking. I thought the movie was incredible, I came out in love with it.

Yep, you saw that right! Gotta love JJ. ;)

Exactly! I think the movie showed us everything we (the audience) needed to see/know. Going back would be corny and let's be honest... it won't compare to the original. It's not necessary... IMO.

 That sounds great! I know about the sound, I felt right smack in the middle of the action as well. It was bizarre, my instincts were on alert as if something was really happening in real life.

Yes, the guy with the camera was hilarious. We kept busting up with his comments.

Here it is:

THE INFAMOUS TRAILER

J.J. Abrams is overrated. Most of his stuff is old ideas from the '60s and '70s repackaged for the newer generation who don't know the ideas aren't new, or original "Lost" is a prime example. All hype and no substance, IMO.

However, I am curious to see if this project ends up being something more than just hype...

does anyone not like this films title? idk, everytime i see cloverfield im like wtf and two seconds later im like OH!

im looking foward to it though... i love jj and matt

We did! The sound was cranked up so loud we really felt in the middle of things. I got used to the shaky came in 5 minutes, it was so intense, there were quite a few 'shock' moments where I tried to pretend to my daughter I wasn't shocked whilst almost dying  I think my favorite character was the guy holding the camera, he cracked me up :)

Wow.
