No... nothing after the credits. The satellite dropped when the couple were on the ferris wheel. It was in the right hand corner. And the message played at the end...

As long as they realize there is such a thing as stabilization with video cameras, I would watch the sequel.

what do you guys think about this project, ive heard alot of speculations, some saying godzilla, some saying biblical monsters, what do you guys think it could be about?

If they make another they need to make the camera shake much less. I literally started to fell the food i had ate hours earlier when I watched this movie 3/4's the way in.

A shock to me since i've never gotten motion sick before and I've literally ridden on roller coasters on a full stomach and been fine.

Other then that, I thought it was cool to see a monster flick from the perspective of the people who knew nothing and were just trying to find the girl and escape.

Actually its more of a testament to good marketing at work then anything else.

That is soo cool... with the Dharma logo. :yay: :smirk: I had a feeling JJ would throw something in Lost-related.

I haven't seen extended previews. :( Just the regular trailer.

Your Elf icon is TEH awesomest ever! I cracked up when I saw it! So cute.

i just finished watching it like 5 mins ago. the classic monster takes over Manhattan story done with a handy cam. a bit disorienting imo, with the shakes and bumps, etc.
i like the originality of the camera work, from the first person point of view, which could be yourself in the city going through what they went through. though the Blair Witch Project series of movies used this style of camera work also, i haven't seen those to this day, i will soon, just because i'm a movie buff.
anyway back to the movie. i enjoyed it more than i thought i would, even though overall i didn't like it that much. mainly i suppose because the "monster takes over city" concept has been done to death.

hmmm... this is interesting to know after watching the movie. i knew there was something that kept me watching it for more than 10 mins. i'm glad i did, though the first 15 minutes or so of the movie was too slow paced for my liking.

Yeah I was typing something in here, then it got really long, so I thought i'd post it on my LJ and send the link, so I copied and pasted it into microsoft works just to be sure nothing would happen to it as I went to LJ (coz sometimes my browser closes) then freakin' works crashed on me! Gone! I'm soooo peeved. It was 6 pages long!

I thoroughly enjoyed the film. My sister hated it because it made her nauseous and I think a lot of people hated it in the theater, I personally think it’s because it didn’t wrap up the way they thought it would. And I love that it did wrap up the way it did, I didn’t expect to see how NY got back on its feet. I thought the characters developments were really well done because I really felt for every single one of them but the whole Rob/Beth thing was just heartbreaking. It was part of the tape right? The audio? Was it Rob still?

I saw this trailer as well when I went to see Transformers last night. It just looked really creepy to me.

My sister was telling me that the monster wasn't anything but a mutated whale. Is that true?

okay so there was something after the credits?? not during the credits??

It was a satellite? I know Hub had an theory that the monster had been hiding underwater and thats why I thought it'd tie into the last scene..

I'd also disagree with people saying that JJ Abrams strings people along and doesn't close anything out.

Felicty and Alias weren't dragged out.

Lost does drag on but that's what it is supposed to do I think--slowly revealing things. Plus I read that they wanted to finish the series a bit earlier than the network would allow.

I think he's a talented guy and I can't wait to see more on this project.

When I saw this I said, "What is this... Lost for the big screen?" By no means am I a Lost hater... LOVE Lost, but it seemed that is what it looked like... it had the Lost touch.

I thought I saw the Dharma logo during the opening credits & I think I have proof.

Those are screen shots from the 54 second mark of the opening credits. I don't consider it a spoiler but some might.

It might not be the Dharma logo but it sure looks like it
