Thanks for that link Nikki! That was a great read, and sums up why I loved the movie too

I totally didn't notice the Dharma symbol on the tape, but that's brilliant! Now I'm half-expecting to see it somewhere on the Enterprise, that'd be hilarious

It wasn't a monster dropping into the water... it was a satellite. It ties in with the website's hinting at the plot of the movie. And the backward's message at the end... "it's still alive..." *shudder*

I saw this movie a week ago and I absolutely loved it. Some parts better than others but overall it was a great original film. It was nice to see something different for a change. I actually loved the way it was filmed and wasn't phased much by it. I did end up not eating my nachos because I was afarid I would puke  So that was a waste of a few bucks but the movie is totally awesome and worth the price of a movie ticket.

lol. but i could be wrong. i wanna see this movie. i saw this trailer before transformers..and danngg..i almost peed my pants cuz i was scared as hell!! haha. wow. it really was scaring for me. i was so scared...i'm not easily scared. but whew. hopefully i'll see this soon.
and for those who are gonna see it tonite, have fun!!! =DD

I'm getting more excited about this by the minute, and it's been a long time since I've felt like that about a new film. But I have to wait untill the first of Feburary for it to come out here :irked:

It's fine for you to voice your opinion about the movie. I think that's what makes movies great is because they're subjective, no definitive right or wrong.

Summed up, it's sort of like Godzilla for the MySpace and YouTube generation.

That said, I think that's what made Cloverfield really good. It's from the different POV, which is that of the party-goers trying to survive a monster attack. Most of the plot, an alternate reality game, is supposedly available on the inter-webs. There's some romance in the form of Beth and Rob, which turns into a fairly decent (albeit, a tad cliché) plot...

the movie was actually surprisingly good... i had no expectations at all and really saw it out of boredom, but i was once excited about seeing it so... i mean i love matt and jj... honestly it felt like a really great ep of lost but it was a good time

i wish i were one of those fanatics that cared about every clue, but i dont... i appreciated the film didnt try to be more than what it was... it kept it simple, didnt run too long and imo was a good time... thats all one can really ask for, no?

i liked the ending a lot though... when jason was telling rob about only having those few moments and to actually see the last good one between rob and beth was nice  idk, i feel a prequel or sequel coming on so... we'll see

the only thing i really didnt like was after they run out of the building and on to the street how reminiscent it was of 9/11... cause it deeply was... but i let go of that in lieu of trying to enjoy the film... still kind of lame

I think it's a good title. Cannot wait for the film, looks awesome.

Anyone seen the extra 5 minutes preview on IGN?

I loved it and it didnt bother me at all! :D

...it was a very innovative approach and its what made it all feel so real to me

but i hated the camera work in Bourne 3  weird

I wont spoil you guys! :)

It was awesome though! :D Great FX and had some light moments surprisingly! :)

Very entertaining and lived up to my expectations! :D

I think i might see it again! :)
