Hubby has been glued to BBC news all day. The last thing he wants to see is something going wrong. He marvels at such an engineering feat and how the miners look when they left the capsule. Not once did he want to switch channels. He wants to stay up until the last man is bought up.

I didn't manage to stay up and watch the first one out last night, although I was listening on the radio at 4am.

Tonight however, I'll see it through to the 33rd, which should be within an hour. It's been strangely compelling.

Matt and Tim have done a great job.
 
Quite a few of them will struggle with this for a long time to come,probably years.It's almost inevitable that some will suffer from depression,anxiety and stress.

Maybe others will use it to their advantage though and see it as a new beginning in their life.
 
That's a relief. I was worried something had gone wrong. My God, that guy is so brave. What a scary descent it will be. I'd feel so claustrophobic, I'm sure I'd have a panic attack! Let's hope all goes well for them all!
 
Agree, Willcox has been the star of the BBC coverage and put the oily Frei in the shade - on one occasion Frei referred to him as ''Tom'' Willcox which shows Frei's ignorance.
 
I know. I've been welling up every time another miner comes to the surface. Huge plaudits to everyone ( although it isn't over yet, which is why all the "hilariously cheap comments"..riled me so much.)

I'm so hoping the rescuer who said he's be the last one out can close the capsule by himself. They seem to be checking it carefully after each miner is brought up, prayers that it holRAB.

:( :cry: The last time I was gripped 24/7 to my screen was during the Beslan school siege and I'll never forget the shock and utter disbelisf, numbness and anger that the outcome of that generated. As a former teacher (before I retired) it haunted me for weeks afterwarRAB. As did Dunblane,you always think "how would I have coped, presuming I'd lived. :o
 
One of the miners has just said "Hold on, I've left me fags down there"!!!

(fags means cigarettes, not homesexuals in this sense, mine you it would be ever funnier if he meant that sense - lol).
