Why are you confused? Do you still not see that the following posts ( all taken from page 1 of this thread )are totally inappropriate and, in my eyes, offensive?

Fair enough. I have been busy today and have only been dipping in and out of the coverage. The first few hours late last night were fascinating (and meant I got to bed too late) but I can't imagine sitting all day and night watching this.

As I said, I don't want to take anything away from the technical or human achievements - it's going to become the stuff of legend.
 
I'd much rather them carry on doing tests and making sure that everything is safe so that they all get out safely than rushing it and something going wrong.

Looks like someone is going down to them just now.
 
Well the second one is on his way...will reach the surface at 1.10 local time...just under an hr after the 1st one reached the surface. I suspect to, that they will pick the pace up.
 
I have been dipping in and out of this story since midnight last night - today there are heaps of re-runs evry 10 minutes or so, the red button service ought be used for viewers who need to catch up - the news should be completely live in situations like this - rescuers arebdoing a great job so far however.
 
Matt Frey and Tim Wilcox, both fluent in Spanish, are doing a great job keeping this show going. They really seem to connect with all the people, from government ministers to relatives of the miners. I almost feel obliged to stay up and support THEM.
 
I would doubt it because of the need to check the capsule and also check/change the internal equipment. Plus the faster the capsule rises, the greater the risk of damage as it passes over the rock surface. I'm impressed that they are taking things at a measured pace rather than rushing to get them up quickly. Cannot afford to compromise safety at this stage
 
In a way, it is sad that movies, books and tv shows will be made and written. It doesn't feel right. What they went through should be private and never trivialised.
