I don't undestand exactly what's mean ENTER-REBOOT-ENTER without SIM ... what is that,, when phone On or OFF ??? ,, what key is reboot ... more details please ..... thanks ...

i need to check my firmware for continuos working in desactivate this google activation.. waiting for your help and thanks

When Phone is on and without sim, on the keyboard Press Enter> then Type R E B O O T> then press Enter. If phone Restarts then u're good to go, if not then u gotta follow Flashing Instructions before u Attempt the 2nd Instructions.

This Guide is for People who dont have Data Plan on their Sim Card, so they can use Wi-Fi to Activate their G1. We all know that not all GPRS/Edge Settings work correctly.

OTA Update ?

actually OTA update service update your radio base-band to an unknown version. which is difficult to downgrade.

better avoid OTA Update is my opinion.
 
hi there...im having problem with steps 6-8.... mine i think is a newer version coz it doesnt reboots if i try enter reboot enter


now my problem is... when the first time i plug my android, it detects as usb storage.. so i updated d driver and it became, ADB under it is HTC DREAM.... i suppose that im doing it right coz when i go to CMD PROMPT and type ADB DEVICES... it responses and shows something like DAEMON has started...


and now according to step 6.. i should reboot my phone with sim in it.... now here comes the problem... when i power on the android with sim in it, should i press the ANDROID LOGO so that it would continue to SET UP OF GOOGLE ACCOUNT?? before i connect the USB CABLE??


coz after rebooting the G1, it wont detect to command prompt ADB DEVICES anymore (BUT if i check my device manager still there is ADB DEVICE connected and in it is HTC DREAM)... it says NO DEVICES ATTACHED... no matter how i retry.... so i cant continue to step 7-8...


please guide me...

i have a problem i had install the driver but always adb say device not found
driver are show as ok i have check all the possiblity but cant fix this problem only 1 thing in my head is that i cant download the drivers which u provide on rapidshare coz my rapidshare account is expried 3 days before and i cant download the file i also search the drivers file from an other side like this i have got the driver for sdk application maybe these driver are different then which u provide.
can u plz 2 upload the driver to an other link i cant download from rapidshare. thanks in advance

Your G1 is a New Version, u have to follow Flashing Procedure so u can rebot. If u did that already, then Insert a Sim into the G1 & go to the Screen where u will be asked (New User/Existing User) then Plug your G1 and continue Step 6-8 (If it says Devices not Connected, just Retype it again Unplug then Replug your Device)

hi sir i have g1 phone its already openline via code,now my problem i cant activate ,im using post paid sim from globe...

heres the error:
this could be a temporary problem or your sim card may not be provisioned for data services.if it continues,call customer care....
