Brittany Murphy - RIP - Your favourite Brittany movies

Clueless for me though 8 mile is close just read she died I swear this year has seemed worse than others for young people dying.

Yes, it is very sad. I wouldn't be surprised if more regarding this comes to light as it is such a tough business being in the movies. Only 32?? shocking.

She was one of my favourite actresses ever since I saw Clueless, I also liked her in Just Married as she just came across as fun and genuine, a real sweetie in fact. Like a previous post said her laughter in that film seemed real and I guess that is a mark of a good performer.

32 is just no age to die, such a shame but when your time is up that is it I guess. RIP Brittany.

I've only seen her in Clueless and Sin City, but fell in love with her in both. Highly talented and underused actress, not to mention one of the sexiest voices in show business.

"Eyes to the stage, pilgrim. She's just warming up!"

Have just finished watching Uptown Girls! Not a classic but it's very funny in parts!

I'm a fan of Sin City & a few others of hers.

RIP Brittany x

Yeah - but it's a case of, she's passed away - so have some respect. It doesn't cost anything, might be hard, but if you try, just try - it might be possible for you to show the dead some respect.

Just give it a go.

It depenRAB what respect means exactly in your context.

Traditionally it's been used when a person(s) has known the deceased. Now it seems to be used whenever, with all this wild Diva stuff in the media etc.

She wouldn't show me any respect if I'd died, nor you, nor anyone on here. Why? Becasue nobody actually knows anybody else.

It's all this Diva stuff. You say JEEEEEEEEEESUS and yet we all know all these film stars are really just people we shouldn't actually look up to, as the Bible says.

Equally your username is against this Diva stuff, but you're now inflating them contrary to that, even though they wouldn't give YOU any respect if you had died - because you didn't acutally know each other.

Like it or like it not that IS the reality of the situation.

This is a thread about movies of hers we enjoyed. If you didn't like her as an actress, don't post. Simple. Go post in the Showbiz section, we just want to pay our respects to her acting ability.

Riding in cars with boys; Cherry Falls; Girl, Interrupted - but definitely the ultimate being Clueless, she was my favourite character in that film, and I loved her partnering with Breckin Meyer in it. It is so sad that she has died so young.

I'd forgotten she was in Drop Dead Gorgeous. she also did the voice of Fry's girlfriend in the 2nd Futurama movie "The Beast with a Billion Backs".. for me Clueless will always be one of her best films, she's just great and the film is vastly over looked nowadays.

Clueless is my number one most definitely. It shaped my schoolyears and her character was a sweetie.

Spun and Girl Interrupted - another two great films.

8 Mile as a film was average, but Brittany was excellent. She was also really funny in Just Married.

A sad loss

Why do you think I will treat somebody else on the basis of some illusory nonsense you talk about? Why do you believe that some people are bad and others are good?

I don't think you comprehend the notion of "respect" for the dead and you are trying, in vain, and failing to justify your lack of respect for the dead.

At least have some respect for the dead. You fail to have that and continue to dig a hole for yourself. Well done - you disrespect the dead and then you want to justify that. It's comical that you have to bring the bible in to justify your misdemeanour.

Keep digging. Tell me who else you meet at the bottom of that hole of delusion.

Very good of you to teach others to do the same.
