Big Changes Slated for March

So far what I have learned from the Premier Dealer Conference in Vegas is that the rate plan changes happens on the 23rd of March all plans will include nationwide callings. Taxes including in the plans will be coming sometime in 2010

From what it looks like on this map is that the green is unlimited talk, text, and some data markets which will come on all plans. (most of this is cricket and premium extended coverage.) The yellow part or in your case the brown is the nationwide roaming. Which is still not defined yet on which plan will have this or will all do, or which network cricket is using for roaming. There are lots of rumors out but about half is true. And of course the white or tan area on the map means no coverage as of now. This is looking real good.

Thats just an analyst, He is making a guess. There is factual evidence this is happening. Also that analyst is going by publicly available information, not the stuff we hear leaked from the inside.

This news was NOT from the dealer conference as I am not a dealer, A person I know was one of the people that got laid off. Also the people that got laid off were mostly the people that service the networks and pc's for all of the corp. locations. They plan on outsourcing it all to a national computer service firm. When you have no IT and your a telco provider that makes you look either to cheap to be a viable company, or just plain old stupid.

The other thing that makes me believe that a mergers coming soon is that cricket is closing 2 corp stores in a market near me. From what I am hearing they plan on eventually replacing all of the corp stores in some markets with something called a Cricket "elite" dealer. It's basicly a privately owned corporate style store. e.g. Ins. Claims, warranty swaps, etc. This option will only be available to existing tier 5 dealers.

If you go to MyCricket site the plans are not as posted above. Also, what Cricket does have posted, makes no sense. Oh well, I'm happy with unlimited everything =)

And one way we confirm that's true, Cricket said that the $25/month for talk and text plan will be offered until March 22nd, the day before these changes should occur.

So if K is dropping the retail price of their phones and doing away with 1st month free (I haven't seen this confirmed by anyone, BTW) are dealers going to get screwed based on how we are being compensated based on the changes that went into affect Feb 1, i.e. % of retail price of phone?

i know that cricket is buying pocket

my question is this, "if cricket is buying pocket and metro is buying cricket, then why the **** is cricket buying pocket and not metro buying them?"

food for thought

also, my e-penis grows with each day

The new plans do not go into effect until March 23rd. On that date, they will change to the new plans. Depending on your market there will be feature differences with the plans.

Granted Kyocera has the cheap phones. But we hardly ever see them come back and we have had only 1 that was dead on arrival. We have seen lots of the PCD phones coming back and lots doa. I was impressed with the phone it's not iPhone or google phone but should be a great seller. They did not say what the price was going to be but hinted it was going to around 200.00

All plans will have nationwide coverage on the 23rd. Paygo will have nationwide coverage on $2 and $3 plans. New phones coming soon the kyo tap (touch screen), a410, 4t quarter Samsung two thurab and an android Sanyo Zio in 4 th quarter. Blackberry 8550 and Koycera Android both are coming in the summer. I will post pics of all the phones tomorrow. Chicago, Houston and Vegas will be testing the new pay structures first. The first month free is going away in these markets on the 23rd then the rest of nation will follow. I asked about flash phones and guy told me flash phones will still work but they may not work on the nationwide coverage and new rate plans. It sounded like they are weeding out flash phones but will still allow them on the network.
