Flashed phones should work in roaming as long as you have the plan and the right prl. Now as far as non AWS hanRABets they are more likely to roam in AWS markets which would be a good thing because now flashing phones would work in those markets. And if data is included it would be better but i really doubt that.
i'm pretty sure that was just a rumor... i've never heard that, but maybe their could be unlimited roaming in certain markets? i'm in nashville, and cricket's most expensive plan has 100 roaming minutes, otherwise there are non, or you can pay $5 a month extra to get 30, they didn't change that.

anyone got news if they are going to require phones to be flashed through houdini? This will effectively put an end to the $5 craigslist flashers we hate so much.
I know this has already been mentioned earlier in this thread - @page 5
Just wanted to provide an update on the Cricket android - http://www.twice.com/article/450636-Leap_To_Offer_Kyocera_s_First_Android_Phone.php
Another article stated that the estimated cost of the phone should be btw 169-219.
Great thing about this phone is it has Wifi.
This should be comperable to htc eris.
Its only Phil., Vegas, Houston and Chicago that will see the phone price change and also the first month free go away. The rest of the markets will follow after these trial markets.
Cricket's IT is awesome, the budget they are given is a damned shame. This company is about to realize almost immediately they screwed up. I can assure you of long waits due to CID outages sometime after june.
those are nice phones..but I still dont see people running into to buy them....if the price is anywhere near 150.00 or more...Its still cheaper to get a flashed phone...
However I like the direction there trying to go.
Yes obviously I clicked the link. I appreciate your smart remark..very classy. Clearly my question was directed at why the content of the message may be important to a merger with Leap.
Correct. In the test markets there will be no free month but a reduction in hanRABet pricing. Cricket believes this will reduce disconnects if the customer has to pay for both the phone and first month up front.
My name is Ryan and I work in partnership with Cricket Wireless. Cricket does offer regular service in the Charlotte area, as well as Greensboro. http://www.mycricket.com/coverage/maps/wireless - link to coverage map for more details. If traveling outside Charlotte, Cricket has you covered in every Cricket coverage area and premium extended coverage area. Check the map to see what the coverage is like where you are traveling.
If Premium Extended Coverage is not included in your plan, but you will be traveling to a premium extended coverage area, you can add it for only $5 per month.
When you are outside of areas included in your plan, you will see a roaming indicator on your phone. This looks different on different phones. Some use the letter "R", some say "Roaming", some display an icon. Your owner's manual will tell you exactly how your phone shows that you are roaming.
When you see the roaming indicator, any calls you make or receive will be charged at the roaming rate. If your plan does not have any roaming minutes you will simply not be able to make or receive the call - no surprises on your bill!
