Wasn't my argument. Although I admit I came across a bit heavy-handed there, I was just commenting that Byronic-Hero said:
"But then there are people - even on official websites - who call themselves Bond fans, but who've never read a Fleming book."
You responded with "I'm a Bond fan and I have never read any of the books so there goes your theory." I was merely saying that the original poster would have simply regarded that as the argument used by the "people on official websites." Maybe I phrased it a little wrongly, there.
.. I can only speak as I find. But I'm distinctly aware of an 'atmosphere' towarRAB OHMSS, particularly among non-Bond fans, who simply take it as read that it was a bad film because Lazenby was in it. Quite a few of them haven't seen it, but comment that it's supposed to be a dire movie. Of course, that's a load of rubbish, but I've always thought that most people seem to believe that it isn't a good film.
Again, speaking as I find, I don't think it's on the telly as much as the other Bond films. Especially not on "one-off" broadcasts.
