I want Speed-HD too!!

But, Bell will be Sim-subbing the AllStar race on TSN, in HD.

So, my guess is there is no incentive for Bell to carry SpeedHD, they make more money simbubbing.

By resources I'm simply saying that there is no room left on their satellites for many more HD channels without sacrificing quality. Lack of planning? Yes but there's not much that can be done about it in the short term. That's a fact not a supposition. I'm wasn't referring to their pocketbooks.

I would like to know if i am ever going to be able to watch CTV news montreal in high def. Whats taking them so long????? For me, i can't stand watching standard def tv anymore , and to be forced to watch channel 205 for my local news sucks..While i am at it, what about NFL network HD? Man, if i had those two channels in HD i would be in heaven. Can someone give me a heads up on when if ever these channels will be added to the grid? Thanks in advance...

Not much unless you have some interest in Boston

Phatom Gourmet (good show about Boston area restaurants)
WBZ News (same news as the CBS Boston station)
Patriots 5th Quater (Patriots review show)
NE Revoultion (Live coverage of the Boston MLS team)
ACC college football & basketball

Other than it is the Peoples court, Judge Joe Brown, the Office, Law & Order repeats, etc............

GOLHD...looks promising as this channel has just got released for Bell's big brother, south of the border. And yes it just got uplinked (but still hidden), and should be available "soon".

Come on Bell, where's Al Jazeera English!!! (in HD too please!)

Honnestly, no point in discussing new channels until Bell fixes their transponder capacity issues.

I really want more HD choices, but if HD quality will suffer even more than it has in the past 18 months... I'd rather wait.

I'm with Telus Sat.(Bellus) and I'm very happy with the quality of HD. I was with Shaw Direct, so I can honestly say, the HD is about the same for both, but I find Bell has better HD channels(Oasis, Equator, etc.) that are useful to view...unlike FrameHD and crap like that. So I don't know if the people here that have horrible HD, may have crap equipment or setups? :o

Contradicts what bell CS just told me. That sundance channel will be added to the more movies package in June.
From what you're saying, they've switched the drive-in classics and sextv packages, regardless of the new names.
Eitherway..it's a loose loose for me, I'm quite sure your info is correct and the bell CS didn't know what she was talking about. That's nothing new. Neither was the fact she tried to sell me the useless Movies East package to get Turner classics, which she tells me is same as drive-in classics.

With Bell giving up its pre-reserved space on the latest DISH Network sat and deciding instead to wait till NIMIQ 6 in 2012....how do they plan to add more and more HD without quality (whats left of it) going thru the floor ???

One of many reasons from switching from Videotron to Bell was access to FOX NEWS. Contrary to many Canadians who have left, liberal tattoos permanently engraved on their chest and don't want to hear anything else, I like to get all views. Unfortunately, for some reason MSNBC is not offered by Bell. MSNBC is the extreme left as FOX is the extreme right. Anyone have any clues if Bell has any intentions of carrying MSNBC ? It would be great if it became part of the Favorites pack.

I would hate to think Bell might add channels just to maintain a customer satisfaction level.

I couldn't agree more but then again just because they call them 'Theme Packs' doesn't mean they actually reflect a particular theme. Case in point, WGN is not a sports channel and should be included with the other Super stations in Premium Movies.

Anyway, you're right, it would have been more appropriate to include Sundance as part of More Movies or even Variety 2. Lifestyle 2 is already one of the largest theme packs with 9 channels, 10 when Sundance is added. More Movies has only 7 channels; Variety 2 only 6 channels.

The only reason they're adding it to Lifestyle 2 is to boost that theme pack's appeal and get more people to subscribe to it.

Give it time. The announcement just appeared in the press yesterday. I expect it will take a bit of time for Bell, Rogers etc. to get this new service up and running.

Just wondering how its going to be bundled. Will it be standalone or part of one of the digital packs? Anyone know (not guess, actually know for once)?

So, instead of 100 new HD channels, it turns out there will be zero new HD channels. The usual slight misunderstanding on part of Bell's representative. ;)

Someone must put in the FAQ here that Bell's phone customer service people are only good to handle billing issues, and posting anything else you've heard from them should be banned. ;)

I've had HD now for about a month and from the channels I've been watching I can say it's night and day between SD and HD (I'm stating the obvious.)

I've heard people complain about Bell's compression and wish I could have an example of what the difference is that people are talking about.

As I've written elsewhere it's just some audio problem's with TCM HD which I assume will be fixed. Quite honestly 1 of ?? HD channels I receive is nothing to complain about at this time.
