circle is totally fucked in this thread, and rather than admit it he keeps kicking and whining.

We have a lot of complaints about the quality of discourse on DIACF, and here's a perfect example.

A simple "Yeah, I fucked that up. When a news story that actually supports my concerns about the Arizona law happens I'll revisit it." would be perfect here.

Instead, we're going to get 11ty pages of flaming bullshit from all participants- myself included.

I'm using this as a precursor to what will be a result of the AZ state law. It will force everyone to carry a birth certificate, and what if one day that won't be good enough? How far are you willing to take this illusion of safety?


First, nice red herring, second, federal law shouldn't require you to carry a birth certificate either.
 
You really need to quit.

The premise of your thread was flawed, you got owned, and now you're trying to turn it into a discussion about how after this law is effective AZ police will.... enforce laws the same way the feds already are.

There's no foreshadowing here- only giving state authorities the same powers federal authorities already have/excercise.

So... your original premise was wrong, and the new tack you're trying to take is wrong.....

Please- just stop.

umm, you do realize that this is common practice down there right?
They have been checking ID with truckers because they have trucks coming in from Mexico constantly and you have to have ID at the checkpoints. DUUURRRRRR
 
In Seventh Circle's world: Truckers are not regulated. They can carry whatever load they want, it doesn't matter what it is or how heavy. HAZMAT? Don't worry about that NANCY, YOU HATE FREEDOM. PAPERWORK? Here's your paperwork, comrade...go fuck yourself.
 
Just to make this a double fail thread backfire...

It was ICE that detained him. That's feds, not locals. So the law that passed and doesn't go into effect for months doesn't matter here. It's the long standing federal laws that were used here.

Do you honestly not see that having a lack of required documentation to pass the weigh station is not grounds to make further inquiries about the person's citizenship?

If I get pulled over and dont have my license I shouldnt be detained and have my citizenship verified. I give the officer my name and he cites me as necessary for my mistakes.
