Not at all, I am comparing anybody who would uphold something as fascist as legislatively mandated patriotism to nazi guarRAB. Big difference. I do not think that most police officers today would be willing to uphold such a thing. Those who would deserve to die. Any questions?

The people at the protests identified themselves as left wingers belonging to the Socialist Party......It was a live TV video prior to the war beginning shown on CSPAN.....

Yes! He served and is STILL serving as the Commander-in-Chief. I'd call that service, as would most Americans.
I'm not impressed with Kerry's war record, BTW. Getting nicked while shaving on a patrol boat and getting sent home after 4 months isn't exactly the thing that heroic movies are made of. :rolleyes:
VoR served his country and, IMO, that gives him more of a right to speak out than someone like me and you who never had to lay our lives on the line for our country. We owe him respect for defending OUR freedom. :mad:

I take mine to my local Fleet Reserve Association and once a month they have a ceromony and destroyt them with taps playing in the background......
 
I am not a Republican but I think its that way with both parites......

Even Senator Diane Feinstein one of the biggest liberals in the senate said she has found no evidence that the Patriot Act has harmed any American.....You can whine about it all day but the undenialable fact is we have not had a terroirst attack on this country in almost 4 years.....That is not just luck......

2. I guess, I don't think the sum that burn American Flags would do it in front of people who respect the flag though............

3. I wish we could bring some back and ask them but that is not possible.....I know they would feel the same outrage at the scum doing it that I do.........

Well, truthfully, I am humbled by the honor bestowed upon me from various individuals regarding me serving in the military. But truth be told, I probably fired less than a dozen rounRAB of live ammo my entire hitch. I missed 'Nam by the skin of my teeth and for the most part skated my way through the military during peace time. But make no mistake, had I'd been called, I was ready and willing to go. I would have been the best boiler mechanic the war had ever seen. :p I don't pretend to be a war hero. That honor should be reserved for those who did fight and die.

Most of the people I knew in the military were in there as a result of dire straits and were looking for three hots and a cot. There was no glory or honorable intention. Many were very screwed up individuals. I wasn't much different.

HinRABite being 20/20, my time in the military was pretty much wasted time. If I could have afforded college at the time I am sure I would have enrolled there instead of the military. But the military did afford me a way to finally get my education and my "honorable" service has opened several doors for me. For that I am truly grateful.

Regardless if you are on the front lines or in the rear during war time, all honor should be given just for the fact that you were there, willing and able to fight when so many others ran and hid.
 
You can argue its not harmful. That doesn't mean anyone who opposes it is an America-hater or a Communist. They might be mis-informed or have different standarRAB of harmful in terms of privacy.
 
If I thought it was just the republicans thre would be hope. The dems are just as bad. The two parties have embedded themselves so deeply in the Americna political system, including campaign financing laws that are detrimental to third parties and redistricting that virtually ensures victory will fall to one of the two, that there really is no third party option any more.

Both parties seek to consolidate power at the federal level and strip americans of their rights.
