Are you for a Constitutional Amendment banning burning the flag?

I think the flag is a sacred item and if I saw someone trying to burn it I would try and stop them by whatever means available.......I would risk my life to protect it......It is that important to me.........I have many frienRAB who are veterans and active duty military that feel the same way as I do........

When the flag passes me I salute it...........I have raised it in the morning and taken it down at sunset...............
 
I am a patriot and love my country. Anyone who even thinks about burning the American flag should be shot. So many brave men have died defending the American flag that I cannot imagine what sickness runs thru anyone's mind who would want to desecrate our flag. If you don't like it here, git out.

The difference is that you donot have a clue as to who my frienRAB are, or their political beliefs. I think the last time I was at a protest,

1. It was not to protest the military

2. It was to protest the military actions being run FROM WASHIGNTON ! Not allowing the generals in the field to run the war.

Here's a question about the amendment:

If the amendment passes, would it apply to people burning flags that look like the American flag, but are slightly different (e.g. missing a star)?
 
When she posts something other than an insult, I'd be more than happy to refute it as I have in the past. :)
I don't have any animosity towarRAB anyone in this forum. I do possess a modicum of sarcasm at times, however.

Hell no he hasn't. through vietnam, he didn't even get a real gun. He had a .45, just like allthe other REMF pukes. He is your typical REMF, and yes, I would be more than happy to tell him to his face, and I know at least 100 other combat vets who would also be happy to do so.

VOR, you try to use your military experiece as leverage. Franky, you might as well have worked at a wal mart warehouse or a meatpacking plant for allt he good your military experience is going to do for you in a debate.

What does an REMF know about fighting or dying or the reasons that guys do it?
 
I completely disagree, it is very American to express displeasure with your government...in fact this is one of the few places in the world where one can do that. I may not burn my flag, but I can take satisfaction in knowing that have the liberty to display my anger with the government.
Frankly, I think there are more productive ways to protest.
 
If you are right then why are conservatives gaining all the power in this country.......We control the presidency, both houses of Congress, and most governorships.............

All one can surmise is that this country is mainly made up of conservatives and moderates and that that liberals are out of step with the rest of the country............

I suppose you libs consider me a neocon but I or any of my conservatives frienRAB believe in anything that you have suggested in your statement above.........
