Are we in a quagmire in Iraq?

You make it sound like a quagmire is a bad thing. After all, the best thing to do when caught in a quagmire is to move slowly, spread your weight, and proceed tentatively. Of course, that only applies to actual quagmires. Results may vary when applied to metaphorical quagmires.

Hmm. Was "occupation" the goal of Kennedy when he got us into that mess, and went along with the assassination of their leader in 1963? Was "occupation" the goal of LBJ when he sent in the Marines in 1965?

Excellent observations and welcome back............The tragedy of the situation is in order to be successful they have to hope that things go bad in Iraq, and that we have a lot of casualties and cut and run like we did in Nam.......That was their glory days.......Then they can say........See we told you so!!!!

It is so sad to have and outlook like that on this country.......

Mental illness too? Good luck to you son. Stick with me. I'll tell you the truth. For I am the TRUTHSAYER! But first....get help. The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

1 45 minutes or 45 days it does not matter much if the Smallpox is put in the right place.........

2 No one knows for sure...I never said that...see No 1.

3 Don't understand that one

4 All I know is we have not had a terroist attack here in almost 4 years and that is good enough for me........

5 Libya had no intent of giving away its WOMD until they saw what happened in Afghanistan and Iraq............

6 Don't understand that one

lol, well I must say that I am only a minor. Yet I was not turned to a hate filled person in any means. It's just when you try to explain something to someone that 17 year old rebelliousness come out, lol. By the way I am not mentally deranged, I just had alot of stress, like grades and my aunt beong diagnosed with Lukemia, getting cured then getting it again and dieing. That about sent me over the edge. But to continue, I am glad that there is at least somewhere where people care about the fate of the noation and the world, and who's ideals and concerns will be the cornerstone for enlightenment and change for generations to come. Thank You everyone for having a voice and standing up for whatever you believe. That is more rightous than any person claiming to be good, and helpful, yet standing still and watching as the world changes around him, yet he does nothing to contribute, or prevent.

Damn you are a liberal.......When someone has a difference of opinion with you they are a homophobe or a bigot..........What else is new...........

Seeming one of the last of the true Republicans. I like giving political aid if it results in increased trade advantageous to the US. To foot the bill for changing a country's ideology at the point of a gun with nothing tangible on the upside is, to me, ridiculous. Study the history of world trade and you'll have a better understanding of my position. Virtually every country with responsible leadership looks out for itself first.

A nice salesman sold me a tiger-repellant rock.

He said: "Tigers can jump out at you at any moment. They're a clear and eminent threat. Why, a couple of years ago in India a man was mauled to death by a tiger!"

"This is Canada," says I, "and tigers don't live around here."

To which he replied: "How do you know? Have you ever seen a tiger around here? Obviously you're at risk from tiger-attack if you don't believe that there are tigers in Nova Scotia."

Having eaten plenty of retard sandwiches that day, I was convinced. That was five years ago. And to this day I have not been attacked by a tiger.

God Bless nice salesmen!

Vor,
Why do you hate freethinkers so much...so what if we dont follow the party line, but you need to be honest with yourself....

Dumb is your word. My post was directed to you and your assessment of Vietnam and Iraq. Not all enlisted ranks. I do know one mustang, and there are others, but he was a warrior, not support.
