Are PS3s popping up in stores EVERYWHERE now?

and I agree, Sony is doing some interesting dancing when in all honesty they could simple let the playstation prove it for them...but with all the bad press, and hate, I can see why they're trying to counter balance it by over enthusiasm. Kinda like a kid who looks like it has down syndrome but could possibly become the next steven hawkings.
 
they aren't everywhere, but several people have tried to sell them on OT for retail and they didn't go.

if you can still return it, that'd be your best bet. some guy i know returned his after it didn't sell for $11ty on eBay or in the local classified. he was out his reserve price auction and the cost of the ad (only like $20 total though, nothing to about)
 
Just get another console for the controller. Sales are so bad, according to some posters/ OT economists they are giving them away. I'm sure by next week they might even pay you to take one.
 
Wow, are you fucking dillusional. They havn't sold anywhere NEAR the amount of PS3s as they did PS2s or even 360s. The Wii has sold 4 times as many and you can't find one ANYWHERE.

If they had an installed base of at least 2-3 million, you may have a point, but they've sold a little over a million consoles and they're sitting in stores collecting dust.
 
I'm heading up to Springfield, Illinois today so I'll be seeing if I can get another aspect of the argument from a different part of the State.
 
Here in Las Vegas, Im in Fry's, BestBuy and Target several times a week and I have seen 3 Ps3's in Target on one occassion. That was when I got mine. BTW I was there actually looking for a pink DS for my daughter.

Sony must have really fucked up the Ps3 because even my 7 year old kid didn't want one. They didn't have the DS, I asked her if she wanted a Ps3 instead. She didn't even have to think, and replied with an angry NO.
 
Based on what I'm seeing up here, I find it hard to believe they don't have PS3s.

Or maybe retailers down there are wising up and just not ordering an assload of them because they know the demand isn't there.
 
Yes, they ARE everywhere. Go to your local BB, Target, Gamestops today. Every single one of them will have multiple units, and some will have pyramids.
 
Went to Toys-R-Us, a lady was taking down a sign that said "Yes, we have 20 & 60GB PS3's!" She was replacing it with a larger sign that said the same thing. I heard her telling another employee "yeah, I made bigger signs because no one seems to notice the small ones."

I don't think that was the problem lady...


But they will sell once they get better games out. No biggie.
 
bullshit - 360 only sold ~600K from launch to end of year - PS3 hit 1 million

360s werent available in stores until abotu March following the launch
