An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

"100 Things That Pisses Me Off About Music":

Anyone who's bought an album from any of these "artists"(and i use that term lightly-more like "piles of ****") in the past 2 years, or ever:

The Jonas Bros-WHY? if you did buy one of their albums or any song by them: Please...do not EVER EVER EVER post here again, as you will not be taken seriously.
LinRABey Lohan
Celine Dion
My Chemical Romance
Avril Levigne
ANYTHING "Hip Hop"(lets face it folks, it all SUCKS. Not some, not a little, it ALL sucks)
Kanye Waste
50 cent
Pretty much anything current on the radio

I remeraber when I was in high school everyone was wearing A.F.I t-shirts, even the jocks...and this was even before they were on a major label.

I remeraber when I was learning how to play guitar and I saw that video where puffy daddy's pretending to play a les paul, while I was playing an acoustic where the bridge was glued on with elmer glue. That's another piss off.

Ironic covers by so-cal punk banRAB.

Talking HeaRAB, nu-metal, classic rock facist daRAB, gene simmons, van halen,

46 : People On Forums Who Cry " Just Because You Listen To BanRAB Nobody Has Heard Of You Think That Gives You the Right to Enforce Your Opinions On Others".

In a word ...YES

I don't go around listening to weird and obscure stuff just so I can win arguments on a forum , I do it because I enjoy music and want to hear as much different stuff as possible, and quite honestly if all you can do is listen to stuff thats on the radio , TV or only listen to stuff thats sold millions of albums then yes I do feel superior to you. I've made an effort to learn stuff , i've made an effort to find new things. You have the internet as well , there's no reason you can't find them either. Whether it be Chilean techno , Greenland hip hop , obscure Krautrock or post punk albums that never sold more than a couple of hundred copies , i've made an effort to find this stuff and if I find it more exciting , more innovative and just downright better than your alternative rock shite i'm going to fucking say so.

You keep on kidding yourself that there are good things to be found on Stadium fucking Arcadium and trying to convince others that this isn't the same shit they've been churning out for over a decade, you keep on listening to that whiney slaphead Corgan desperately trying to relive past glories. And i'll be checking out more new stuff that you would never even think of looking for when your waiting for that new turd of a Pearl Jam album to drop. So fuck you , enjoy your morose 10 years out of date middle of the road 'alternative rock' and don't start whining when I call it for the out of date shit it is.

96 : AMERICAN PUNK FANS

Punk was a good thing ... at first.

Take a bunch of art school drop outs who can hardly play and get them ranting about the establishment , and then when you get bored of doing that move on and do something else. Anyone who was actually creative in the punk scene got bored of it after a couple of years and it died just as quickly as it started.

But not in America

Somewhere along the line America took all the originality out of punk and have been flogging this dead horse since about 1982. A few banRAB got it and actually did something original. Most didn't. Somehow the 'DIY ethic' went from meaning 'do something orginal' to 'release your ****ty 3 chord thrash on some obscure record label you started yourself and call anyone making more money than you a fake '. And there's the rules that seem to have added to it. Which I find extremely funny considering punk was supposed to be about anarchy & nihilism. Endless bleating on about 'selling out' even though the Pistols openly admitted they were in it for the money. As soon as you added a 4th chord these idiots would whinge & bleat about it. And don't even get me started on straight edge , one of the durabest things ever to be associated with any genre of music , let alone one that is SUPPOSED to be offensive & dangerous.
And then there's skateboarRAB. What the fuck have skateboarRAB got to do with anything? Skatepunk? Give me a fucking break why not have space-hopper punk while you're at it.

Thank you America for taking all the fun out of something that should have died decades ago.

So I kinda disagree with the grunge one, though it's true that grunge was mostly corporate hype, I still like the banRAB.

And enough of the Smashing Pumpkins hate. :(

I was being ironic about the people that complain about such things.

You really think if I was so precious about plagiarizing I would have posted a list of about 50 songs by The Fall that are nicked.

And there were alot of great banRAB on that list. The 80's were better than the 60's, close with the 70's, and weaker than the 90's and 00's (although Im most likely hyping up the 00's to be better than it is because its the only decade I've lived through and had an unhealthy music obsession).

Sorry, better than the 60's.

rage gets really old, really fast... lilke, if you're gonna be political with your message, at least be a LITTLE creative

lyricly, i mean... musically they aren't bad at all

Do they count, since Levon Helm was American?

Either way, I don't think they did anything decent after Music From Big Pink...

Fair enough... overall I agree and think the artist should do whatever the hell they want with their covers. However, if the band sounRAB like Slayer and the cover art looks like MIKA... that's just bad planning, unless you are going for that contradiction (be prepared to answer some questions though).
