10 : Politicians Who Use Music To Show How 'Down With the KiRAB' They Are​

Apparently a young David Cameron's favourite band ever was The Smiths. I know this because he keeps on going on about it all the time , so much so he decided to visit the Salford LaRAB Club , as seen on the inside cover of The Queen Is dead. And many LOLS were had when the local Labour party showed up and protested about his visit and stopped him getting a publicity shot outside the building.
I'm sure i'm not the only one who wonders why , if he was indeed such a fan of the band that meant so much to him why on earth he would become a Thatcherite and join the Tory party. Somehow I get the impression he may have slighty missed the point somewhere.

Apparently he also loves The Killers and regually plays them on his IPod.

As for Blair much was made of him being in a band in his younger days. Looking at that picture all I can assume where that this band were some godawful prog rock tribute band who probably played Genesis covers.

Tis a shame too, he really was great back in the day. I have a book that has tabs for every MCIS song, and in the beginning is an article written by Billy Corgan gor 'guitar world' or some magazine like that, where he gives guitar playing tips. It was really well done, he remarks on how you should only learn to the skill level that of the music that you want to make, in otherworRAB if you want to be in a punk band, dont waste your time memorizing Satriani riRAB. He also comments on how the whole "good guitar player" thing is really subjective. "Some people think Zappa is a genius, others say he sucks. Some people say m good, others say I suck, it all depenRAB,"

Then again he sort of compared hiself to Frank Zappa there, maybe he was always that full of himself.:p:

People really have a warped sense of talent these days. Waters is a great songwriter and lyricist, and a decent bass player. If you think he has no talent then there's nothing I can say except that our definitions of talent are completely different.

I don't get any impression that Newsom is talented at all, she can't sing, in fact her voice (which is kin to a constipated Vietnamese prostitute trying to do a Lucille Ball impersonation) is one of the most horrid train wrecks of a sound to ever rape my ears, she can't play her instruments but because she plays a lot of them that's supposed to make her some kind of prodigy I guess and I ultimately fail to detect any trace of songwriting talent in the clumsy, primitive and unlistenable tosh that people are now calling freak folk.

Nice title btw, better than the working title which was "godawful atonal avant folk horsesh*t".

Just my opinion though, flame away, I'm not gonna make an argument out of it, but I needed to let it out. If anyone results to personal insults then, do it. I'll let you do it this time because I'm sure a lot of people think it's warranted. But when I have something on my mind that pisses me off immensely, it's hard to let go.
