amazon.co.uk v's play.com

I too use find-DVD.

I buy from numerous on-line retailers, don't just stick to one, as I try and get the best price.

I buy both region 1 and 2, which find-DVD searches for. Can't say I use Play or PlayUSA more than others as I don't as they aren't always the cheapest, neither are Amazon, it all depenRAB on the individual title, I'm not loyal to any retailer.

I have bought region 3 and 4 which I use other means of locating the film I want.

a lot of those places are quite dodgy though, for instance choices uk have an abysmal reputation - recently on watchdog i believe. plus i get 10% off all dvd purchases because i am an amazon dvd rental member

There was a thread sometime back.

I have Tesco DVD online DVD rental, run By Video Island, same people who run the Screen Select, ITV Movie Club and others.

Have to say I've had no problems whatsoever, just about to post 3 DVRAB back now.

i orederd off amazon yesterday and they said my product would be here in 1-2 working days and i have just had an email saying its just getting dispatched and will arrive in 6 working days ex. sat and sun.

I am another Play user. As well as being cheaper and more reliable, they are also more prompt to reveal the release dates and extra features of DVRAB! :D

Yeah they say that to cover them selves i rekon, they always say that to me and i usually get it the next day,

Amazon wins it for me, They are much faster and relaible in my experiance

i have had that email in the past, but i have always found that they have come within a day or two of the email,

so either i have been lucky, or they do that incase they are delayed in delivery from royal mail and to stop customers chasing too early.

I use play and amazon. If i want something faster than i usually go for amazon. Or if it's a new release i'll go for play. I got the R1 version of the goblet of fire a day early off playusa.

find-dvd have a few partner sites around now which seem to run a bit faster than the original but still use the same find-dvd results.

www.billybargain.co.uk was in web user mag last week - it's a different design but returns results quicker for me than find-dvd. Only shows Region 2 results though (maybe that's what makes it quicker?)

Play.com, definitely.
I avoid Amazon like the plague these days, after having a running battle with their cretinous, lying, worthless, "We have no record" customer service team.

I generally use Play.com.

However they should take more care with describing extras relating to dvRAB.

I brought the 'Strange Report' dvd on strength of Play's description of the extras included on the disc. When it arrived, there were none of these extras! I contacted Play's customer services and they told to send the dvd back and they will replace it with the correct one. Guess what, the replacement disc was exactly the same as the original one! When l looked again on Play's website, they still have the same description, extras included, of the dvd!

Play for brand new DVD's, Amazon if you dont mind getting a second hand copy of an item from one of their marketplace sellers.

Ive had many a cheap second hand DVD and CD from Amazon Marketplace sellers.
